Great tool !! MAKITA! Dust bag seems to clog up after few cuts / didn’t use it.

Excellent tool very versatile to make wood jobs I recommended

Very light and ergonomic like all Makita woodworking tools. Fairly accurate, or at least enough so to be very effective. The shavings port is very well placed and the tool remains clean along with the cutlines. I like Makita corded lightweight woodworking tools because they are reliable and easy to use. I basically use it for biscuits and smaller cuts registering against a surface followed by chisel cleanup, so this makes a lot of sense for my need. Not sure about long term reliability, but if it’s based on their grinder (which it seems to be), I dont see any issues.

The Makita Biscuit Joiner works great but without one issue. The power button is located in such a way that when you push the power button with the thumb, and move the machine in for the cut, the fingers will not let you go all the way. I think my hand is quite normal. I have to push the power button and then move my hand back to the back of the body to make the cut. That means I lock the power on and leave it on until I have made all my cuts. That seems to be the only issue that I can find. The machine is quiet and works great. I love having the nice case so I can put all the parts in and not have to figure out where I stored the attachments and blade changing tool..

The Makita plate joiner worked right out of the box. Checked all the presets and did not require any adjustments. Cuts clean and smooth biscuit slots.

Great product used to join table board and doors.

This joiner was very easy to set up and made reliable, precise cuts. The dust bag collects almost all sawdust but fills after only about 7 or 8 cuts. It’s easy and fast to empty however. I like the light weight, solid feel, and feeling of safe operation.

I first purchased the Ryobi, returned it and exchanged it for the Makita. The blade is precise, let me explain. The Ryobi had too much play in the cut, the Makita does not. The fence could be better by having two points to lock but if you are careful it works great. It works great and I highly recommend it.

In comparison with the Dewalt biscuit joiner this has a nice feel to it. Comfortable, but on the other hand the quality of the alignment structure is not as easy as the Dewalt and feels chincy. Both are good buys, but I have a Craftsman which was built by Dewalt and the Dewalt joiner is vitually the same as it was almost twenty years ago. Plus it sell for less. Buyers choice…

Used the Makita plate joiner to groove holes in 700 linear feat of Brazlian Teak. Extremely HARD wood! While other tools struggled, this joiner had no problems at all.

Joiner cuts well, but you only get to cut 3 or 4 slots and the chip ejection port clogs. Chip bag must be removed and chips poked out of the small passage. A real pain and a disappointment because Makita is usually my go-to brand. My recommendation for purchase and rating of “good” is qualified by the necessity of hooking up a vacuum dust/chip collection system. Adjustments and controls work fine.
