Gave as a gift – seemed to like it

Works well in tight places. It is light weight and is easier to use on smaller projects than the re g ular reciprocating saw

Very nice compact powerful saw. I needed this to cut off some old fuel tank straps in a very cramped area under the cab of my truck. This little guy tackled all three of the straps with ease. Never missed a beat, just cut through the solid steel straps like a hot knife through butter. Best part, I never busted a knuckle. This is a keeper, and the smaller size compared the other brands out there make this a very versatile tool, especially where you cannot get a grinder or full sized sawzall in to work safely. As far as battery life? That was not a real concern as I only had three cuts to make. But, it made the cuts and the battery was still at a full charge. For me, it is not an every day use tool, so when I do need it, I do not believe there will be any issues. And it came with two batteries, and charged quickly. And the case is the usual Makita quality. I would buy again if the need arises. I bought this at my local Home Depot.

Good tool to have for small jobs or jobs that you don’t feel like toiling with an extension cord. I like the compact size and its weight but was not completely sold on the power. It does the job but it takes its time.

Great product with excellent battery performance between charges

Great ergonomics esp mid-grip one-handed use. Variable trigger. Not great power or run time even for 12V but great for light pruning etc esp at such a low price. Would have still kicked in more for a newer brushless model. Helps to have a 4Ah battery.

It’s one of the handiest tools I have. I even bought one for the vacation cottage in Italy. The guide on one does keep working loose but nothing some threadtite won’t cure. Perfect for trimming lower door casings when installing tile.

I had no prior experience whatsoever with electric or battery powered saws, but I just used this the other day to cut some major dead limbs from a crape myrtle and to reshape a vitex tree, and was very impressed by the ease of use. I decided to purchase this as a safer alternative to a chainsaw, and for its adaptability for other tasks as well.

I have the 12 volt cat drills as I like the small size and weight. Was a little worried this saw would not have enough umph but it cuts through lumber and metal with ease. Would definitely buy again

I bought this for a gift for my daughter and she was extremely excited when she opened it. She said it was exactly what she wanted and was ecstatic that there were 2 batteries.

This piece of equipment has met all my expectations, since I am a small women age 59 this is the perfect fit for me.. I use it mostly to cut branches that is to big for a hedge trimmer and not big enough for a chainsaw, I have also used it to cut some bolts that held wood together

You get a lot of product for the money (saw, two batteries, charger, a couple of small blades), but the saw vibrates quite a bit compared to other mini reciprocating saws. It’s definitely a two-handed saw, and I was looking for a saw that could be used one-handed.

This 12 volt battery powered handheld saw was just what I needed to trim some shrubbery with 1″ to 1 1/2″ limbs. I like that the batteries, charger and saw blades came with it in the carry case for the price of $129. The only thing I bought that was not included was a pruning blade. I have not used it on metal, but I assume it will perform well. Nice handy handheld saw.
