This is one awesome tool that compliments the big plunge router. Men need their tools!

The quality of this router is excellent. It’s great for small jobs because it’s compact. There isn’t much plastic on this tool. The majority of the router is made of metal. The only knock I have on this is that the bottom guide isn’t clear like some models. I’m a noob to routers so it be nice to have the option, but I was able to operate and use it no problem.

The is by far one of the best trim routers i have used. It is light and easy to hold with one hand. It has great balance to it, no top-heavy feeling. Only thing that would make it better was if it was cordless, but im not paying an extra 100 for that. No stars lost for that.

The speed dial won’t hold position after about an hour of use and will suddenly spin to 6. I returned the first one and the second one had the same problem after less than an hour. I had to tape over the dial after setting the speed I wanted for it to hold. The display at the store dial was loose and sloppy as well so a design flaw. Otherwise the quality of components were excellent and has performed well after approx 10hrs of use now. Fix the speed dial and this would be a 5 star router.

Lightweight, easy to handle and move. Good visibility while cutting. Don’t like that I have to take the guard off to change the blade, but it’s easy to remove. Well thought out too.

I purchased this router to do small trim work. I loved the weight and feel of it in my hand. I love that it doesn’t jolt when it starts up and it is also very quiet. The operation is very smooth. The adjustable speed is a plus. The top is flat so it stands up to change bits. It doesn’t have a light but I don’t need it for what I use it for. The only problem I ran into was the base opening was a little small for some of the larger bits I purchased. I simply took a Dremel and cutout the stepdown portion and now I can use the router bits that I use the most. Other than that I love it. I may purchase the cordless version as long as operates as smooth as the corded one.
