Very safe and easy to use

So easy to use. The only complaint is the guide doesn’t continue all the way through the cut. So you have to focus on staying straight at the end of the cut.

This saw is so light weight but with so much power. It can cut a 45degree as well, big plus. It is easily and compact for big or small jobs. Ibhave had this product for 3 months. The only dislike i have is that there isnt an engrave ruler on the tool to show depth of cut. This item however did meet and exceeded my expectations

I don’t foresee myself needing a standard circular saw for anything any time soon. The only other circular saw I want is Makita’s track saw for more precision applications. But I have the CXT platform already and this thing is so inexpensive I decided to try it out on interim projects that I just wasn’t going to buy a full track saw setup for. Small as this is, it’s so easy to handle. I whipped up a crude track for it using scrap wood. Did great! It is not massively powerful. You will want to take an easy pace through any harder woods. Also the motor structure sticks out the side quite a bit. It isn’t atrocious but it just isn’t as compact on that side. I think it would be a good idea for Makita to release a brushless model, this one is largely recycled from their older, discontinued pod-style 12v line. Still, if you just want to make quick cuts in 3/4” woods or thinner without lugging a full size circular saw around, this thing is awesome. So easy to use. Nice ergonomics. It may let me get away with delaying that track saw purchase a decent while longer. 4 stars in terms of absolute performance, value-adjusted 5 stars wouldn’t be unfair.

This drill was already assembled. Came with the 12 volt battery. Needed to order a charger for the 12 volt

The circular saw is good for small jobs and where required. I have bigger ones but I needed one like this and is good. Very light and quiet.
