The Makita Self-Leveling Combination Cross-Line/Point Laser (SK103PZ) gives the user an all-in-1 solution that combines all possible laser measurement needs required within a 50 ft. distance range requirement. It provides all possible reference lines required in leveling, aligning, plumbing and squaring applications for maximum versatility. Depending on ambient light in the working environment, the SK103PZ has a line visibility range up to 50 ft. and a point visibility range up to 100 ft. For added durability, the SK103PZ has recessed laser windows that are highly protected from fracture damage and drops and the full over-sized rubber over-mold provides increased protection. It is an ideal solution for aligning pipe runs or HVAC ducts, aligning electrical conduit runs and cabling trays, positioning and aligning steel track, installing T-bar grids for acoustic panels, installing doors/windows/floors, leveling counter tops and much more.

Makita self-leveling combination cross-line laser is a very simple and accurate laser to operate. Beside construction use, I also use it for aligning my collection of my photos on the wall. It allows a perfect level and vertical alignment of all of my photos. The level comes in a carrying case with an magnetized attachment for mounting on either a metal post or by screws to a wood post.

In comparison to other high quality laser levels I have used this one is right up there with it in terms of build quality and brightness. These laser levels are great for hanging cabinets and shelves or something lighter like paintings. I used this one outside in the daytime to check the grade of my property by having the laser on a tripod and and using a yard stick to measure the distance from the ground to the laser level line. I got really good results which allowed me to level out my flagstone patio and ensure the water runs off away from my house.

The lines this laser level produces are very bright at a good distance, I’m using it as part of my basement remodel and the ease of setting it up in the center of the room and having all of the lines worked out for my poor geometry basement is very helpful. It was easy and intuitive to use, and it feels very rugged so I’m not worried about it being delecate, they clearly focused on the case design as equaly important as the actual optics. This laser level saves time and removes frustration in leveling.
