Work well.

Very smooth operation and cuts like a dream. I really like the lock in the track option for when you’re making that long cut on sheet goods.

Great addition to the workshop. Break down large heavy 8×4 plywood safely and accurately on the floor on top of a sheet of insulation foam or on workhorses. This saw system is accurate and cuts with zero to minimal tear out. There is no need to resaw broke down panels further on the table saw. When connected to your shop vac the dust collection is great, much better than a tablesaw. This plunge saw is NOT your regular circular saw either, it’s a completely different beast.

This tool is a game changer. I will never have to fight to break down sheet goods on a table saw again. As a small contractor, I work alone most days. This makes me safer and more efficient. Also can purchase a guide to. Go in rails for a router too.

Easy to use and excellent features. With the guide rail you can make long straight cuts similar to a table saw.

The only thing that could make this track saw better is to have someone give it to me, Easy to set up, easy to use, track stays put even with no clamping, cuts smooth and clean. It makes cutting large sheets of ply super easy. This is a 5 star tool

Great tool. It stands up to what was said in all of the reviews that I read regarding this tool. Im really satisfied with it. The grip pads hold up pretty well but I do wish it came with the clamps just for a better piece of mind when making your cut.

This is a great alternative to the Festool plunge saw. Solidly made, accurate, and a nicer colour!Compatible with Festool track, too. Why pay more?

I love this saw! Granted; it is my first “large” power tool purchase so I don’t have much to compare it to. But the combination of the track and the nice encasing makes this a dummy proof set up. As with any power tool with blades there are risks – the largest with a track saw still being jump back if you pinch the wood or hit a knot. So always stand to the side with firm pressure on both handles!I have this hooked up to my shop vac and it keeps saw dust at a minimum. Produces glassy smooth cuts and rips through multiple layers of ply at the same time. I love it. Only quibble I have (and it is a minor one) – I feel like the base depth setting for saw should have the distance for the track taken into account. So if I know my material is 20 mm, for example, I can actually dial in 20 mm and go. As it is you have to add in the heigh of the track to get it sorted out.

Excellent tool. Bought this as a lower cost alternative to the Festool and am extremely pleased with it. The guide stays right where you place it along the line you wish to cut and the included blade cuts plywood paneling cleanly without any splintering.

I really like the saw

Bought this with the 55 inch extruded guide. This thing yields effortless finish cuts and I’m totally happy with my purchase … one star withheld for the tiny and not all that useful user’s guide …

I own a TS55. This machine has much more power. Impressive from the first cut. It uses my TS55 rails with no problem. However it does cut closer to the rail on the splinter strip thus it will become a dedicated Makita rail. It is very smooth on the cut and plunge. Much faster feed rate with zero bog on the motor. The factory blade is quality. Dust collection is equal too my Green machine and blade brake works great. The container is adequate and mates to my green products. That said a couple negatives are present. The main two are listed here1. Short power cord2. No riving knife (preference thing)My 1st saw came damaged. Likely in shipping as the box was damaged. The bottom plate was very slightly bent undetectably so until it was laid in a rail, and was thus not capable of cutting a consistent angle (it rocked). Home Depot made this a cinch as they took it back with zero hassle and replaced it. The replacement came in perfect working order and as track saws go it is a beast and must be considered a bargain. Its nearest competitor (the green one) is right at $800.00 after tax. No comparison monetarily and they perform similarly minus the riving knife and long cord. I would rate it an excellent saw at an excellent price.
