The Makita 6-1/2 in. Plunge Cut Circular Saw and 55 in. Guide Rail work together to produce accurate cuts with minimal tear-out. The saw combines a powerful 12-Amp motor and a large cutting capacity with magnesium components for less weight (only 9.7 lbs.). Electronic speed control maintains constant speed under load for smooth handling and a splinter-free, mirror finish. The saw delivers accurate cutting as the position of the blade enters the material on the same cutting line, whether cutting straight or bevel. This bundle also comes with 2, 194368-5, 55 in. Guide Rails and 194385-5 Guide Rail Clamp, 2-pack.

I use these tracks with both my track saw and my router. Fine precision and quality. Quick delivery too.

A must if you’re using a Makita plunge saw (or any another brand that fits). This track takes all the guess work out of accounting for your cut width. Literally lay this track over exactly what you want to keep and make the cut. A few of the track saw makers have adhered to a common track design. The Makita tracks have a slot for the Makita track saw to “clip-in” so the saw doesn’t tip over during bevel cuts, and they’re cheaper than the Festool tracks. I’m very pleased with mine.

Works extremely well with the Makita plunge saw.

Love it

Everything I expected. Makita needs to come up with a bracket or hanger for them. I got a 39″ and a 55″.

Looks good and works well. For the money the rail clamps should be included

The guide rail was slightly out of square on one end but the other end perfectly matched my other guide rail.

The Plunge Saw Guide does what it was made for. The Plunge Saw and Guide have become essential in my ever-growing collection of quality Makita Tools.

Clamps work great. My only complaint is that they were screwed down so tight from the factory that they have indentations on the pads. Not sure if that will impact performance but would rather have a flat surface.

Bought this with the 55 inch extruded guide. This thing yields effortless finish cuts and I’m totally happy with my purchase … one star withheld for the tiny and not all that useful user’s guide …

Lower price than Festool – same design, work with Festool and makita tracksaws.

I really like the saw

The track seems warped. The track saw drags about 3/4 of the way down the track. I tried Lubricating the track it didn’t help much. But it seems cut straight.

I love this saw! Granted; it is my first “large” power tool purchase so I don’t have much to compare it to. But the combination of the track and the nice encasing makes this a dummy proof set up. As with any power tool with blades there are risks – the largest with a track saw still being jump back if you pinch the wood or hit a knot. So always stand to the side with firm pressure on both handles!I have this hooked up to my shop vac and it keeps saw dust at a minimum. Produces glassy smooth cuts and rips through multiple layers of ply at the same time. I love it. Only quibble I have (and it is a minor one) – I feel like the base depth setting for saw should have the distance for the track taken into account. So if I know my material is 20 mm, for example, I can actually dial in 20 mm and go. As it is you have to add in the heigh of the track to get it sorted out.
