Stand arrived with broken thumbscrew. Manual diagrams too small to read. Fortunately, most of it was assembled and I could figure out the rest without the manual.

Does the job , Not overbuilt by any means but used with care it will last. I wanted a stand that was made for the saw and could be wheeled away as a unit.

I have always wanted a Makita miter box and finally bought one along with this stand. The stand was easy to assemble but seems to be a little flimsy for such a heavy saw. The extension arms are weak and require too much effort to set up. Makita needs to strengthen the design and improve function. This stand seems to be a me too. When the stand was delivered the Extension arm with the roller was bent. I called Makita and they had no parts to repair the bent arm. I called Home Depot and they offered a price adjustment, which I accepted. I straightened the roller arm and welded a brace on to strengthen. Very poor design…

The directions were difficult to piece together. No real steps have to look at the pictures. But I love how it functions

This stand came with my 12″ dual slide saw. The stand seems too small for the saw. PROS: It is easy to operate. The extension arms are supported from the ground making them very sturdy. Now for the cons; The people that make these ( and pretty much all of the miter saw stands currently available) must not have contractors field test them! The wheels need to be 2″ bigger diameter. With the saw mounted all the way to the back the roller supports 4″ (width) of the work piece. Makita sells the largest capacity (16″ cut @ 90 degrees) saw with a stand that supports only 4″ of the piece being cut. The stand needs to be 6″ taller in the upright position so one can back it up to a tailgate and load it themselves. The loop that supports the stand in the upright position needs to be 6″ longer so the saw is not trying to fall over if you look at it wrong. Sadly; with all it’s shortcomings, it is still one of the best ones I have used recently.

stand is mediocre at best. looking at it and handling it, it doesn’t seem like a $200+ stand. parts of it remind me of cheap outdoor steel furniture. doesn’t seem like it would hold up long if it was getting moved around a lot. operating it isn’t exactly smooth either. maybe i got a bad one, I don’t know. makita ls1016 mounted easily however.

This is an excellent addition to making my Makita table saw easy to be movable from site to site
