As a contractor, I typically chose cordless tools that have the maximum power / capabilities available, and hesitate to buy anything but brushless at this point. I really wasn’t expecting a lot from this small, brushed 3/8″ impact wrench, but was pleasantly surprised.Unit has a stated “breakaway” torque of 200 ft-lbs. As tiny as it is, I really expected that number to be obviously-exaggerated. I have no way to measure that scientifically, but putting it to use alongside my brushless 12v unit from another manufacturer, I’d guess that to be about right. Doing a full brake job on my wife’s compact SUV, I found it more than capable of removing the fasteners encountered. Was a total pleasure using it, it being so very light and compact. Now, I don’t purchase my cordless impacts with removing tires solely in mind, but I know a lot of folks do. It had no trouble removing the lug nuts on my wife’s vehicle – hammering on each for maybe 2 seconds before breaking it free. Granted, these were hand-torqued to 70 fl-lbs, and had been off fairly recently. It wouldn’t even think about doing the lug nuts on my truck – torqued to 120 ft-lbs, and having been on there through an entire winter, in our heavy-salt-use location. But for the average car owner, this is going to do most of what you’re probably ever going to ask of it.

Very compact battery. For the working professionals who need lightweight and ergonomic tools on those 12 hour days. And the reliability is top notch too.

This is an impressive impact wrench. It may be stout and sleek in size but, this packs a punch. I was very pleased with the fast charge on the battery. It is small enough to fit into any tool bag. I first utilized it on several different sized bolts in metal, wood, and fiberglass. This worked on all of them to quickly remove them in under 30 seconds. I also utilized it to remove the lugnuts while changing a tire! It handled it like a champ! We are going to get a second one just for changing tires! Lightweight, Powerful, Small, and Fits Anywhere

This is the same charger Makita includes standard in CXT combo kits. It‘s really compact and does what it’s supposed to, but their own Rapid Optimum CXT chargers (not listed on HD at time of review but hopefully will come back) can charge twice as fast in the same compact package for not a lot more money. Or there’s also Makita’s combo LXT/CXT Rapid Optimum charger which allows users to charge an additional battery platform, but that is bigger and a little more spendy. I do think this “standard” CXT charger is still a decent value when included in the package price of a kit, but I would not pay for one separately myself when Makita has much faster chargers available.

This is a great impact wrench. I use quite a bit of Milwaukee tools and this is the first time I own a Makita. It is so nice. The power and the speed are so great. I would not have even thought that such a small tool can deliver this much. The built in LED light is so great. I will make sure my friends know what a great tool this is. Thank you very much.

Great tool, lightweight and has the power to remove most screws and bolts and reinstall them with the required tightness. I carry it with me all of the time in my tool bag so you can tell it is compact enough to have readily available . Great for use around the home and has a battery that lasts around 10-12 hours under normal use. I would highly recommend this product.

My last 12v makita battery lasted 6 years of daily use. This one lasts a good amount of time and is lighter then the 4ah ones which keeps the drill weight down.

Charger works great! Wish the packaging was better! Just the charger in a box no bubble wrap to support it in case it was damage.

Use it everyday almost at small repair shop. It’s great for tight areas but I do have to say it’s not the most powerful thing in the world. It excels in taking off caliper bolts, skid plates, valve covers, or any other small 3/8 bolts under 100ft lbs.Trigger pull is nice and precise to tease a fastener in with good control. Belt clip is strong and latches on most standard work belts with not issue..
