I don’t own very many Makita tools but the ones I have been great. The very first cordless I ever owned was a 7.2 volt drill. Then I moved up to the 12 volt that had a really long handle where the battery was’ They both lasted years. This one I’m sure will too. It’s light weight compact and has a lot of power. I was removing some bolts that have been on for 20 years, it took them off with no effort at all. I was using it for at least 2 hours and the battery was still full. I highly recommend it.
