The 18-Volt X2 LXT Lithium-Ion (36-Volt) Cordless Blower (XBU01PT) is powered by two 18-Volt LXT batteries, so users get 36-Volt power and run time for corded and gas-powered demands, without leaving the 18-Volt LXT platform. Model XBU01PT is a kit and includes two fast-charging 18-Volt LXT 5.0Ah batteries and an 18-Volt Dual Port Charger that will charge two batteries simultaneously for increased productivity and less downtime. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18-Volt LXT and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside. The XBU01PT has a variable 2-speed motor (0-10,000, 0-17,000 RPM) for optimum speed control and a maximum air velocity of 208 MPH with up to 30 minutes of continuous run time on a single charge. Added benefits include lower noise at only 86 dB(A) and zero emissions, making it ideal for applications in residential areas. The XBU01PT requires none of the maintenance associated with comparable gas-powered blowers: simply insert two charged 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion batteries and the tool is ready for work.

Easy to handle and great with no power cord The two new batteries enclosed lasted 29 minutes on high on full charge, non stop.My powerdrill batteries lasted 12 minutes. on high on full charge.My drill batteries are close to 8 years old and fit the charging platform although I would expect the batteries designed to go with this blower are designed for a much intensive power draw.Great for garage, driveway, and decks.Pretty much can do tougher jobs but limited time makes a cord blower more feasible. Great product if you have majors battery tools. . The power is as strong as most 2 strokes. Battery’s last about a half hour on high. I’d give it five stars if they can make it variable speed. Way stronger than I expected.

This tool does exactly what I expected it to. It has plenty of power for yard work, and as some posters have already mentioned the batteries don’t last much more than 30 minutes. But it’s light and has enough power for what it is. I’m happy with it.

I use this blower to blow water off my truck before I dry it with a towel. I have the smaller 18 volt Makita blower that works well but wanted a little more power. Also I clean the drive way, side walk and deck, haven’t had it long enough to use on leaves. Also used it for blowing debris from around shrubs that have landscape stones around them, gas blower blows the stones all over.I also wanted this blower for the charger and 5 amp batteries, I have two other two battery devices but only a one battery charger.Only had blower for a couple of months, meets my expectations.
