Model XBU02PT1 is a kit and includes the Blower, 4 fast-charging 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0 Ah batteries and an efficient 18-Volt Dual Port Rapid Optimum Charger. Makita’s efficient BL Brushless motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for up to 50% longer run time per battery charge than similar non-brushless tools. Electronic controls efficiently use battery energy to match the changing demands of the application for increased power and speed when needed. With no carbon brushes, the Makita BL Brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life. When powered by two 18-Volt 5.0 Ah batteries, the efficient brushless motor delivers up to 28-minutes of run-time on dial setting #3 on a single charge.

Why they give two extra batteries free because the blower only last about 5 minutes. This is very sad! If I knew this I would of never purchased this blower.

Work great – the adjustable power dial is so much better than trying to throttle power with trigger. The only complaint is that I think I received a previously open box without being told that is what I would be getting. The extra batteries came in a ziplok bag. The unit itself was not wrapped in plastic. And the product registration and warranty card were missing inside. Make sure you check this when you get yours.

I was very excited to get this but the power isn’t great and I had to use two sets of batteries to blow leaves for 30 minutes. If you need a battery operated blower for a patio…great, otherwise look elsewhere.

Great product. Powerful, lightweight. Only issue I have is length of battery power. If you need to use at full power, batteries (with a back up fully charged ready to go ) only lasts about a half hour. Other than that it’s a pretty awesome product.

This is working great I have a lot of leaves and have been very helped by this tool. Thankful for the four batteries but I will say on the highest rating you will be waiting on battery still but it’s not a bad forced break either. If you’re not mechanical or you just don’t wanna deal with gas this is the one to get!

My blowing needs are rather modest so this has plenty of runtime for me. It is fairly heavy with 2 batteries and all so I recommend the optional strap, and the discharge tube plastic seems thin and flimsy to me.
