Model XBU02PT1 is a kit and includes the Blower, 4 fast-charging 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0 Ah batteries and an efficient 18-Volt Dual Port Rapid Optimum Charger. Makita’s efficient BL Brushless motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for up to 50% longer run time per battery charge than similar non-brushless tools. Electronic controls efficiently use battery energy to match the changing demands of the application for increased power and speed when needed. With no carbon brushes, the Makita BL Brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life. When powered by two 18-Volt 5.0 Ah batteries, the efficient brushless motor delivers up to 28-minutes of run-time on dial setting #3 on a single charge.

Works great! The speed control dial allows you to ‘dial down’ blower speed for much finer control of the air output. It also conserves battery life when you don’t need full power. The unit is a little pricey, but actually a great value/saves money when you figure in the extra 2 batteries it comes with…and if you already have a Makita 18v tool, those batteries will work with it as well. I have a bigger than average driveway and sidewalk, and get 2 usages out of 1 set of batteries before I have to swap them out.

Very lightweight and ease of use is outstanding. Just charge batteries and off you go. Nice that they included a second set to have when needed for those long sessions around the property. While using 2 u charge the other 2 and repeat. Very strong around the perimeter of the home and driveway and areas where grass doesn’t grow. Have to be sure that one doesn’t blow mulch out of ur beds lol. Highly recommended.

This Makita leaf blower is a beast. It has a number wheel from 1 to 6, I use it set at 2-3 most of the time which is more than adequate and saves battery time. If you are considering a leaf blower you will not be disappointed. No gas, oil, or mechanical adjustment. I think anyone will be pleased with this blower.
