Model XBU02PT is a kit and includes the Blower, 2 fast-charging 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah batteries and an efficient 18-Volt Dual Port Rapid Optimum Charger. Makita efficient BL Brushless motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for up to 50% longer run time per battery charge than similar non-brushless tools. Electronic controls efficiently use battery energy to match the changing demands of the application for increased power and speed when needed. With no carbon brushes, the Makita BL Brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life. When powered by two 18-Volt 5.0Ah batteries, the efficient brushless motor delivers up to 28 minutes of run-time on dial setting #3 on a single charge.

This is a good blower as strong as a $150 2cycle blower. Only down fall is you only get abut 15 min of run time with the 5 amp batteries. I got mine with an extra set of 5amp batteries but charge time is 50 min for batteries so unless you have more than 4 batteries you will have to wait some time between battery charges. My 2cycle blower carburator went bad and I need something to blow pine straw off some 2 story roofs this worked great and was lighter and easier to cary up the ladder.

The Makita 36volt blower has super power thanks to its high voltage brushless motor. The unit uses two 5.0 Amp Hour 18-volt Makita lithium-ion batteries to power the motor. It’s a unique design in that it uses standard 18-Volt Makita batteries, but combines two to generate 36 volts – resulting in a much more powerful motor. Assembly is easy, push and twist two air tube sections together and to the body. The two-piece blower tube has a third piece air concentrator providing extra length and super air velocity. With this much power, it’s good that they included a variable speed switch, select from 1 to 6 to customize the amount and speed of air. At full power the motor generates 120 mph air at 473 CFM. Even using full power the dual batteries last a decent amount of time on a charge, and at half power you can run about 25 minutes. The batteries can be used to power a number of 18-volt Makita tools. The unit comes with a dual port battery rapid charger so you can charge both batteries at once, and a full charge takes about 45 minutes. Batteries have a charge indicator, although my sole complaint on this unit is when the batteries are installed you can’t see the indicator. Very well built and a great cordless tool.

Blower does a very nice job. Run time isn’t super long, but I got the extra pair of batteries on a special buy so it works out quite well. One of the batteries was bad out of the package and customer service went out of their way to make it right.

I would recommend this blower kit to anyone who has to clean up leaves and debris because it is compact and effective. I would especially recommend it to ladies who need to clean up the yard quickly because it’s easy to maneuver, lightweight, and needs no special complicated instructions to operate. All you have to do is just charge and use. It comes with instructions, extenders, and a charger that charges the two batteries at the same time.

18-VOLT X2 (36) LXT LITHIUM-ION BRUSHLESS CORDLESS BLOWER KIT, 5.0AH, is a kit. It comes with a dual charger and 2 18v batteries. The blower has a run time of 29 minutes at a medium speed. There is a finger tip selection control for power output, with the trigger control. I tested the product with several challenges, high grass, damp leaves and was pleased with the results. It is really handy, no mixes or additives or adjustments. No cords to battle or distance restrictions. It can be used in the garage or basement shop without have fumes entering the house. There is good tool balance and ergonomics and the weight is under 10 pounds
