Landscapers and contractors are demanding more cordless alternatives to corded and gas-powered outdoor power equipment. Makita is meeting demand with an expanding line of cordless OPE, including the 18-Volt X2 LXT Lithium-Ion (36-Volt) Brushless Blower (model XBU02Z, tool only). With zero emissions, lower noise and considerably less maintenance, the 18-Volt X2 (36-Volt) Cordless Blower is a welcome solution for clean-up applications. Its powered by two 18-Volt LXT batteries for 36-Volt power and run time, but without leaving the strongly-preferred 18-Volt battery platform. And with the efficient Makita BL brushless motor, the blower delivers longer run time, more power and speed and longer tool life. Makita’s efficient BL brushless motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for up to 50% longer run time per battery charge than similar non-brushless tools. Electronic controls efficiently use battery energy to match the changing demands of the application for increased power and speed when needed. With no carbon brushes, the Makita BL Brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life. When powered by two 18-Volt 5.0 Ah batteries (sold separately), the efficient brushless motor delivers up to 29-minutes of run-time on dial setting #3 on a single charge. This Promotion also comes with a bonus T-03361 Round Trimmer Line, 0.080”, Green, 400’, 1 lbs..

Excellent product, no electrical cord to deal with or having to mix gas and oil and keeping up with maintenance on an engine. Pending on size of yard/property you may want to invest in extra batteries.

Tons of power, variable speed motor is nice, fairly quiet and no cords or gas is great. Would recommend 5AH batteries I have 3AH and they dont last very long.

The blower was a bit pricey but I’m glad I purchased it. Before I purchased the blower, I searched around on YouTube and found a lady moving gravel around with this blower. I was impressed and Makita has already won me over with their other brushless motor products (drills).I was able to blow out stubborn oak leaves and acorns out of my lawn from the neighbors oak tree. I was able to blow out cob webs from the wheel well of my Chevelle from five feel away.I cut down my post yard work cleanup by more than half the time!

After cutting grass at my parents house all day and then having to hand sweep the long driveway and parking area on top of everthing else was a bit much. Upon purchasing the 36 volt Makita leaf blower my beautiful wife insisted on trying it out first and I have not seen it since . Great product!

Was able to pick up the kit with 4 batteries and I’ve got to say, this thing is great!Ive got an old Craftman corded, and Echo gas powered. The Echo is great, but fuel, storage, maintenance, and weight make it a little bit of a hassle. The Craftsmen, I use for vacum, and the cord is a PITA and it doesnt have a lot of power. The Makita X2 is fantastic. Just drop in batteries and you’re set. Its light, and has plenty of power. I use on average for 15 minutes straight when doing yard work, and batteries are over 1/2 charged in the end.I can see how professional landscapers may not care for the battery life, but for home owners, this thing is amazing!

Works very well and it is very powerful. It is really convenient because it’s instant on with no cranking, gas, and smoke. It does go through batteries quickly so you will need to buy the larger batteries.
