Landscapers and contractors are demanding more cordless alternatives to corded and gas-powered outdoor power equipment. Makita is meeting demand with an expanding line of cordless OPE, including the 18-Volt X2 LXT Lithium-Ion (36-Volt) Brushless Blower (model XBU02Z, tool only). With zero emissions, lower noise and considerably less maintenance, the 18-Volt X2 (36-Volt) Cordless Blower is a welcome solution for clean-up applications. Its powered by two 18-Volt LXT batteries for 36-Volt power and run time, but without leaving the strongly-preferred 18-Volt battery platform. And with the efficient Makita BL brushless motor, the blower delivers longer run time, more power and speed and longer tool life. Makita’s efficient BL brushless motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for up to 50% longer run time per battery charge than similar non-brushless tools. Electronic controls efficiently use battery energy to match the changing demands of the application for increased power and speed when needed. With no carbon brushes, the Makita BL Brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life. When powered by two 18-Volt 5.0 Ah batteries (sold separately), the efficient brushless motor delivers up to 29-minutes of run-time on dial setting #3 on a single charge. This Promotion also comes with a bonus T-03361 Round Trimmer Line, 0.080”, Green, 400’, 1 lbs..

Whoa this thing blows. Probably the most powerful blower ever. It is also way quieter than any blower around. And whoa does it eat batteries. This blower on 6 (I have no idea why they used 6 as fastest, come on Makita, this thing deserves an 11) will blow stones around – pretty darn big ones. Leaves are child’s play. Wet compacted leaves, still super easy. The balance in great in hand. It isn’t too heavy. Noise level is fantastic. Probably still a good idea to wear ear protection. The one downside to this puppy – battery eating. I have three sets of two batteries. It is possible to use the blower continuously with two double chargers working. If you only have two sets or a single set, you’ll have to find something else to do while the batteries charge. I’m guessing this gets about 20-30 minutes of blow time. A lot of jobs can be blown in that time. But if you have a really big job, get three sets of batteries. Even though it eats batteries like no tomorrow, I love this thing. I can finally blow all the sand out of my garage. Get all those corners completely clean. And can use it to dry my car (it is a nearly ideal blower for car drying). Not to mention it does a great job on leaves.

When my gas powered leaf blower’s engine froze, i saw the Makita. Excellent power. Not your typical battery operated tool. The 36v two battery system is light and moves a lot of air. I have most of the Makita family of tools and this is another great fit.

Works well and has lots of power. DOES NOT DRAIN THE BATTERY

The Makita cordless blower is very light and easy to operate. The assembly and operation are very straight forward. It has 6 speed adjustments, and can be adjusted while in use. It does not come with batteries and charger. I would recommend the Makita cordless blower.

The new Makita battery powered Blower is a fine machine for your yard maintenance needs. This Blower does not come with the 2 batteries and the charger, they are sold separately. Included with the Blower is an adjustable plastic twist on tube for focusing the output air. You can move a lot of debris with this one. The batteries slide on and click underneath the unit. I was able to get about an hour of use before recharging. You’ll need to purchase the 18v LXT batteries separately. Overall, this blower is a great addition to my garage tools and really does the job well. I keep my driveway and sidewalks free of clippings after I mow the yard. I’ll even use this to get my outdoor fire pit roaring this coming winter.

Relatively short battery on my existing small 3ah batteries. Otherwise exceeds expectations.

Wow! I was duly impressed with this blower! It is quieter than gas powered blowers, yet it is efficient and lightweight at just about 10lbs. Moves a good amount of air and is sufficient for small yards. Battery life was adequate. No complaints.

I got this for my right hand man since he carries a lot of Makita tools and batteries. Great power for leaves and clearing snow off of trucks. I have more Milwaukee tools than I can count. Unfortunately this Makita blower outperformed my Milwaukee Fuel. I recommend 5.0Ah batteries.

This blower is perfect for my 1/2 acre lot. My blower will last about 20 minutes using 2 5.0Ah batteries on setting 3. I have another set of 4.0Ah batteries and between the two sets, I can easily blow my front yard. The blower has a good adjustment dial. It has a high volume output that can really move leaves. It is far better than an older corded one I have that has high velocity but lower volume air movement. I am pleased with this tool. I have several Makita tools on the 18v platform and really find them to be well-built, reliable, lightweight, and powerful.
