Would give it 5 stars but when it is on full power, it drains the battery really quickly. This is to be expected, I guess but we will see how it handles the leaves this fall and even light snow come this winter.

When my gas powered leaf blower’s engine froze, i saw the Makita. Excellent power. Not your typical battery operated tool. The 36v two battery system is light and moves a lot of air. I have most of the Makita family of tools and this is another great fit.

The new Makita battery powered Blower is a fine machine for your yard maintenance needs. This Blower does not come with the 2 batteries and the charger, they are sold separately. Included with the Blower is an adjustable plastic twist on tube for focusing the output air. You can move a lot of debris with this one. The batteries slide on and click underneath the unit. I was able to get about an hour of use before recharging. You’ll need to purchase the 18v LXT batteries separately. Overall, this blower is a great addition to my garage tools and really does the job well. I keep my driveway and sidewalks free of clippings after I mow the yard. I’ll even use this to get my outdoor fire pit roaring this coming winter.

I bought this an a Christmas present for my dad, who was eyeing it for a long time and has many chainsaws already. He is an avid outdoorsman/contractor who spends a lot of time using tools like these. He wanted something a bit quieter as not to disturb the neighbors, but also wanted something powerful. Once he opened it, we immediately popped in the two batteries and starting cutting up a pretty thick tree. We were all VERY impressed by how quickly and effortlessly it cut through the logs. Best of all – it’s quiet! It’s not nearly as noisy as a normal gas powered chainsaw. It is compatible with the Makita batteries he already had, so no need to buy extra (note: the chainsaw does not come with batteries). It was shipped to my home very quickly (it’s delivered in the regular packaging, so make sure someone is home to grab it). He loved it and couldn’t wait to keep using it. Highly recommend!

Got this to replace old corded blower. Does the same work in half the time and weighs so much less. Not sure about large application use but imagine it would hold up. I also got to reach more areas with less hassle due to the battery vs corded. Finished blowing out my back yard within 10 minutes when it usually took 30

The blower was a bit pricey but I’m glad I purchased it. Before I purchased the blower, I searched around on YouTube and found a lady moving gravel around with this blower. I was impressed and Makita has already won me over with their other brushless motor products (drills).I was able to blow out stubborn oak leaves and acorns out of my lawn from the neighbors oak tree. I was able to blow out cob webs from the wheel well of my Chevelle from five feel away.I cut down my post yard work cleanup by more than half the time!

Just as powerful or more than any corded or gas blower. Much more convenient. Batteries last long enough for any homeowner and most landscapers.

Used the Chainsaw for the first time today and only changed Batteries once after cutting down a large amount of tree’s and branches works very well . Just make sure you clean it out regularly and with no problems the Chainsaw works Great.

Wow! I was duly impressed with this blower! It is quieter than gas powered blowers, yet it is efficient and lightweight at just about 10lbs. Moves a good amount of air and is sufficient for small yards. Battery life was adequate. No complaints.

Was able to pick up the kit with 4 batteries and I’ve got to say, this thing is great!Ive got an old Craftman corded, and Echo gas powered. The Echo is great, but fuel, storage, maintenance, and weight make it a little bit of a hassle. The Craftsmen, I use for vacum, and the cord is a PITA and it doesnt have a lot of power. The Makita X2 is fantastic. Just drop in batteries and you’re set. Its light, and has plenty of power. I use on average for 15 minutes straight when doing yard work, and batteries are over 1/2 charged in the end.I can see how professional landscapers may not care for the battery life, but for home owners, this thing is amazing!

And this one has pretty much supplanted my Stihl MS211 gas saw. Power is equal, but no fumes. First chain saw I have ever owned that did not leak bar oil in storage. I fell a 20” Douglas fir, limbed it, and bucked it in 18” rounds on a pair of 6 amp batteries. Batteries last as long as this 78 y.o.
