Tons of power, variable speed motor is nice, fairly quiet and no cords or gas is great. Would recommend 5AH batteries I have 3AH and they dont last very long.

Whoa this thing blows. Probably the most powerful blower ever. It is also way quieter than any blower around. And whoa does it eat batteries. This blower on 6 (I have no idea why they used 6 as fastest, come on Makita, this thing deserves an 11) will blow stones around – pretty darn big ones. Leaves are child’s play. Wet compacted leaves, still super easy. The balance in great in hand. It isn’t too heavy. Noise level is fantastic. Probably still a good idea to wear ear protection.The one downside to this puppy – battery eating. I have three sets of two batteries. It is possible to use the blower continuously with two double chargers working. If you only have two sets or a single set, you’ll have to find something else to do while the batteries charge. I’m guessing this gets about 20-30 minutes of blow time. A lot of jobs can be blown in that time. But if you have a really big job, get three sets of batteries. Even though it eats batteries like no tomorrow, I love this thing. I can finally blow all the sand out of my garage. Get all those corners completely clean. And can use it to dry my car (it is a nearly ideal blower for car drying). Not to mention it does a great job on leaves.

I bought the charger and batteries to power a makita cut-out saw and portable vacuum for drywall demo. The combination is a dream come true. Dustless drywall removal ! The batteries provided long enough run-time that I could change batteries and continue working while the other charged. Being able to charge two at one time was great because the vacuum runs on 18v also.

Would give it 5 stars but when it is on full power, it drains the battery really quickly. This is to be expected, I guess but we will see how it handles the leaves this fall and even light snow come this winter.

Got this to replace old corded blower. Does the same work in half the time and weighs so much less. Not sure about large application use but imagine it would hold up. I also got to reach more areas with less hassle due to the battery vs corded. Finished blowing out my back yard within 10 minutes when it usually took 30
