The Makita 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Impact Driver (model XDT11SY) delivers power and speed in a compact size for a full range of driving and fastening tasks, with a fast-charging 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Battery for less downtime. The XDT11SY features a Makita-built 4-pole motor with variable speed (0 RPM to 2,900 RPM and 0 IPM to 3,500 IPM) that delivers 1,460 in./lbs. of maximum Torque. At only 5-3/8 in. L and 2.8 lbs. (with battery), it has a compact and ergonomic design with less weight for reduced operator fatigue and a rubberized soft grip for increased comfort on the job. The built-in LED light illuminates the job area for applications in dark spaces and close quarters. Awesome package with a great little driver. The tool itself is very lightweight, and is comfortable and easy to handle. However, be advised that with any compact tool like this, you have to provide more stability and pressure yourself for heavy-duty applications.

I have used other brands of impact drills, and this specific brand is one super light weight and hardly makes any noise but works perfectly. Compared to the other brands that are out there in the market this makita impact drill makes my everyday job easier. The carrying duffel it comes with is super convenient, comes with two batteries and one charger. The grip on the drill is so comfortable, I would definitely recommend this impact drill.

I would say for an impact it works good, but it doesn’t come without it’s setbacks, first you can’t regulate torque or speeds, second the batteries that are shipped with it are underpowered to say the least, with an impact you should want at least a 3ah battery, the1.5ah that comes with the tool just doesn’t give enough oomph that being said the tool itself seems robust, I’ve dropped it a few times nothing further than 6ft but it’s survived

This is the first drill that I own. I would always use a screwdriver for everything since I thought all drills were so heavy And bulky but this one is a game changer. It was easy to assemble and charge, no guessing at all. The drill is very user friendly and very light. It also includes a light pointer so it makes it easier to know your target. It came with a carrying bag and 2 batteries. The battery lasts and didn’t have to charge It until my third day of using it for about 3 hours each day. I love that it is very compact but has the strength of a bigger drill. Would definitely recommend.

I was tired of using my husbands large, heavy drills and drivers so I made the decision to get a small impact driver/drill that would fit in my hand, was compact and light weight. After much consideration I decided on the Makita Cordless Impact Driver Model number XDT11. Oh my goodness I love this drill, Its perfect. Fits nice in my small hands, its lightweight ( even with the battery) its powerful, precise, easy to use, easy to change the bits and it came with the charger and an extra battery. We have always been pleased with the Makita Brand and this does disappoint. I would highly recommend.

Nice impact driver. Gets the job done. Wish it had a switch for variable speeds, but, it can be controlled by the trigger squeeze. The 2 batteries were the reason for the purchase and based on the replacement cost, the impact driver is considered as free. After a couple of hiurs of use, it does get hot. Pretty powerful and its evident on the screw bit that now needs replacement. Overall, a good buy for the money. Faster and stronger than the Dewalt I was considering.
