Makita is the innovation leader in brushless motor technology, and the 18-Volt LXT Brushless Impact Driver (XDT13Z, tool only) combines power and run-time for a full range of fastening tasks. The efficient Makita BL Brushless Motor is electronically controlled and engineered for longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt lithium-ion series, the world’s largest cordless tool line-up powered by an 18-Volt lithium-ion slide-style battery. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. The variable speed brushless motor delivers 0-3,400 RPM, 0-3,600 IPM, and up to 1,500 in. lbs. of max torque for efficient fastening. It has a compact design at 5 in. long and weighs only 3.3 lbs. The Mikita saw is fine, but I contacted HD to see if the battery I had would work for this saw and was told “yes”. Well it didn’t fit so we had Toto buy a battery, also.

Bought this in a combo kit with a brushless impact driver and brushless 6 1/2″ circular saw. This drill is the best I’ve owned. Coming from a Ryobi basic drill and Ryobi brushless hammer drill. It is A LOT lighter and smaller than both Ryobi’s (apples to apples both Makita and Ryobi with 4ah batteries). Also the driver feature on the Makita is a lot more true in each setting vs the Ryobi. Like past reviewers said it gets stuck in other settings NOT THE CASE! Makita must have addressed the issue because I have yet to experience this and tried all settings.

I own several Makita battery powered tools. I used the last drill so much, I wore it out!!!! I’m sure this one will last equally long!!

Amazing impact driver has delivered and performed to every task I have asked of it.However I realized why people love makita is that the tools are very well thought out, from the dual LED, ergonomic handle, battery indicator, speed of charge , ability to turn on light with out turning drill. Beast mode

I bought and returned 3 Milwaukee impacts after bringing them home and experiencing temperamental charging stations and battery’s that seemed to wobble or feel loose when attached to the tool. Decided to purchase Makita and man I’m so glad I did. Right out of the box the quality difference was immediate. The tool felt more solid, the battery clicked into place under the tool with zero play or wobble and felt like it was all one piece. The battery even clicks into place on the charging station. IMO no comparison in quality control between the two. While I know Milwaukee is a top brand I feel like they have some quality control issues that need to be ironed out. That being said I’ll never buy anything else but Makita from here on out. Customer for life
