The 18-Volt Sub-Compact Impact Driver is part of a new class of compact, with the size and weight of lower voltage tools but with the performance, power and compatibility of 18-Volt. The expansive breadth-of-line of the Makita 18-Volt LXT Series means an 18-Volt battery from any LXT tool will power the 18-Volt Sub-Compact Impact Driver. The XDT15R1B has an efficient brushless motor with 2-speed settings and dual LED lights illuminate the work area. The innovative Assist Mode (A-mode) helps eliminate “screw cam-out” and “cross threading” by driving at low speed until tightening begins and is ideal for driving longer fasteners. At only 5-5/16 in. and 2.6 lbs. (with battery) it is an ultra-compact fastening solution with superior comfort and handling.

I like this little impact because it has enough punch to take care of small projects around the house. It’s also takes the same size batteries as the first generation batteries of Makita tools. I like the new style of batteries to. unlike Milwaukee if you buy a small tool like this you have to buy a whole separate charger and hold it from battery if you own some of their bigger battery operated tools. Which yes I have both. this is a great little impact this is my second one someone had walked off with my other one so I went back and bought a second

This driver has some Great power for its size. Super easy to use. Charger is Quick with the rated times in regards to the battery power. Removed 1 star because the bag it includes isn’t as shown in the picture. It’s a much smaller, black bag that cannot fit the charger. Just opted for a Husky 15 inch. Tool bag and it was way better and can fit a hammer drill too. Overall a Great tool. Super light and Robust for its size!!!
