The expansive breadth-of-line of the Makita 18-Volt LXT Series means an 18-Volt battery from any LXT tool will power the 18-Volt Sub-Compact Impact Driver. The XDT15ZB has an efficient brushless motor with 2-speed settings and dual LED lights illuminate the work area. The innovative Assist Mode (A-mode) helps eliminate screw cam-out and cross threading by driving at low speed until tightening begins and is ideal for driving longer fasteners. At only 5-5/16 in. and 2.6 lbs. (with battery, sold separately) it is an ultra-compact fastening solution with superior comfort and handling. Just like that old energizer battery commercial, this will last FOREVER. Even with the 2Ah battery. Seriously. It’s not the most powerful. Not even close, but thats not why you purchase a subcompact impact. You purchase it because it’s light, and versatile. I am however, incredibly amazed at how long the battery runs on this thing. I dare you to find a job where the 2Ah battery dies on you. Seriously. I double dog dare you. This is, by far, my favorite tool. Thank you Makita. (On a side note, i purchased an 18-V Ridgid brushless impact for my heavy duty jobs and it’s so amazing. It, with a battery, was cheaper and more powerful than any makita i could find so i went with it. Great duo). This makita however gets used so much more so it’s fantastic. I wish it had 3 lights and a quicker way of adding a bit but i guess you sacrifice extra features when you go for something subcompact. I’m ok with that. It does however have this amazing Auto feature for speed. Rather than 2-speed or 3 speed like my Ridgid, i prefer this auto feature. It speeds up as i need it. Very intuitive and i love it
