Be sure to order a couple of extra filters for when they need changing. Having them on hand is the only way to do it.

I would have to agree with some of the reviews. It could use a little more suction and a larger dust bin. However, I have been using it how for about 3 years and it is still working. It is used to clean up spot messes. dirt/dust on the work bench or spills on the floor or dirt that was tracked in. For that it works great. I did not buy it with the intentions of cleaning my house or replacing my Rainbow Vacuum. I wanted something to clean those small messes that occur so I would not have to drag out the big vacuum. For that it works. And I do like being able to share the battery with my other Makita tools.

The attachment absolutely helps in keeping the filter free of small/fine debris which allows for a long lasting suction. Emptying the compartment is easy enough. The issue that I ran into was that I found myself needing to stand at a distance now to vacuum where as before I had to option to use the extension pipe, now the pipe is needed with the Cyclonic attachment. Otherwise the cyclonic dust compartment overhangs past the attachments

It’s a wee bit expensive for a hand vac with no battery or charger, but it is also an excellent tool. Being able to store it without having to plug it in is great. Not worth buying if you don’t already have and extra battery though.
