With zero emissions, lower noise and none of the maintenance associated with gas power equipment, the 18-Volt X2 (36-Volt) Cordless Lawn Mower is a welcome solution for efficient grass cutting. It’s powered by (2) 18-Volt LXT batteries (batteries and charger sold separately) for maximum power and run time, but without leaving the 18-Volt battery platform. The Makita-built motor delivers 3,600 RPM, and the Mower offers ease-of-use features including quick height adjustments, a 13 Gal. capacity grass collector, and a full 17 in. cutting width. Using (2) 18-Volt LXT 5.0Ah batteries, the Lawn Mower delivers up to 30 minutes of run time. The Lawn Mower features Makita Extreme Protection Technology (XPT). XPT is a protective seal inside the tool, and is engineered for improved operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components.

I have a small lawn/weed patch, and this mower works perfectly for that. It’s cutting width is only 17″ which means many passes.It’s super light, easy to push.

I love this little mower and I wish I could recommend it. However, there is currently no way to purchase a replacement blade for this mower from anyone, anywhere. The replacement blade is marked as an obsolete part and the new part number they suggest does not exist. Without even basic parts support I cannot recommend this mower to anyone.

I bought this to edge around the areas that I have mulched. My riding mower blows the mulch away. This mower works fine for this. Grass needs to be dry or it will get bogged down.

So far it’s great. I’ve had this mower for three weeks and gotten in four mows. Very easy to assemble. Need 4Ah or 5Ah batteries. The 2Ah only last about 15 minutes. This mower is great for small city yards. If you already have Makita tools it’s great!

This lawn mower is a good design, I am maximizing the capacity of my I – Ion Makita batteries. I only wish it’s a bit wider may be 4” wider the I can save some time till Makita makes it available. I agree with some other users that the cutting blade could be made more sturdy.
