I bought this tool this afternoon for cutting some decking for removal. I had a Sonicrafter a few years ago that I bought because it was cheap. Well it worked poorly. I sold it. Since it was hot today, I thought I would just try out the tool on my project to see how well it worked. It worked so well, that I ended up finishing the task very quickly and easily. I am hoping to be able to use it a lot more for the rest of my deck repair. Very enjoyable to use a well designed, well built tool. I have 6 Makita 18 volt tools now and I love every one.

I’m a long-time user of the Dremmel MultiMax coorded tool. I love the portability and I get all of the power, if not more, than I had with my corded MultiMax tool. I’ve standardized on Makita battery products only because those are the batteries I use and they are interchangeable with all the other tools in their systems. I just wish HD sold the model that included the batter only so I can increase my stock of Makita batteries when I buy tools.
