This is an awesome saw. If you already have the Makita plunge cut saw with the guide rails, it would be silly to get any other cordless saw. With the full 7-1/4″ blade, it makes all the same cuts as a regular corded circular saw. The blade is super thin and super sharp, making it cut very fast, even in wet wood. It’s also very light, even with the batteries, than most corded saws.

Bought this because I needed a drill for light concrete drilling. The drill does the job. My exepreice is that I haven’t noticed any of the issues early reviewers reported. This is after multiple days of drilling using the both hammer mode and regular mode. It’s a handsome tool that feels integrated and sturdy. It inspires confidence during use. It will drain a 2.0 ah battery fast. Trigger take up is top sensitive. Droll gets on power too fast.

The Mikita saw is fine, but I contacted HD to see if the battery I had would work for this saw and was told “yes”. Well it didn’t fit so we had Toto buy a battery, also.

I’ve wanted a cordless Reciprocating saw for a while now….. I was going to buy the rigid saw but… this one was on sale and in stock…and I needed a saw for a project that included replacing 10 doors… this saw flat rocks! I did all 10 doors on one battery… and still have 80% charge on the battery!!! It uses the same battery as my miter saw that I love so it just made sense to give this saw a try… if you’re already using makita batteries… it just makes sense… get one … you’ll love it!

This replaced a 30+ year old circular that I used for home projects. The difference is amazing. Its an expensive option just for home based projects but the difference in performance was worth it to me. I was able to make very accurate cuts. Particularly on longer rip and cross cuts.
