It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion system, powered by 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries have fast charge times, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18-Volt LXT and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the Star Symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside. This Promotion also comes with a bonus 199140-0 39 in. Guide Rail and XDT15ZB 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Sub-Compact Brushless Cordless Impact Driver, Tool Only.

I had been eyeing track saws for a while and finally took the plunge with this model. Found this kit on discount with an additional free 2x batteries so it seemed like a no brainer. In testing I’ve found the saw to perferm just as well as corded versions. Cuts are smooth and the batteries seem to last a long time. I especially like the anti tip feature and while a riving knife would be nice I have yet to encounter any kickback. A note on the track.. I had seen some reviews where users complained about straightness of the track. My particular track seems to be straight and flat. All in all happy with this kit for the price I paid. I find myself using the table saw less and enjoying this saw more and more.

I walked into my local HD store intending to add to my small Milwaulkee M12 collection with an inexpensive impact driver.I walked out however with a MUCH better item!I already have 2 Makita drills but THIS one is SUPER cool! It is very small and light and it was an amazing deal!I bought a charger and high capacity battery and the drill was free! I should also mention that the functionality of this drill far supersedes that of the M12 collection-this is a 18v and actually looks and feels like a real drill!I am SUPER happy with this purchase and would buy it again in a flash!

Used to drive in screws for strapping into Oak floor joists in 1890’s house.

Best impact I have bought as of late. Several different options for impact speed and strength other than the usual “trigger control”

I wanted the 99” rail but wasn’t able to order one .

Pricy tool but definetly worth the money. The accuracy and smoothness out of this saw is not even comparable to a table saw. I use this for professional use as a carpenter.

The cut is unbelievable. Love this tool. Wish I would have gotten one along time ago.

It has plenty of power and it’s size and weight make it so my wife can easily handle and use it as well. In fact I may need a second one so she will stop stealing mine.

The brushless models of Makita 18V tools are a big step forward. They are lighter, more powerful, and seem to run longer. I use mine for everything from woodwork to dirt bikes. I can’t live without mine.
