The Makita 18-Volt X2 (36-Volt) LXT Brushless 6-1/2 in. Plunge Circular Saw, with AWS (XPS02ZU) delivers precise and more accurate cutting when combined with an optional guide rail system (sold separately). The saw and rail system work together to produce accurate cuts with minimal tear-out. The saw combines a powerful Makita-built brushless motor powered by two 18-Volt LXT batteries with Automatic Speed Change Technology, which adjusts cutting speed and torque during the cut for optimum performance. The XPS02ZU is equipped with Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS), which uses Bluetooth technology for wireless power-on/off communication with the AWS-equipped dust extractor. AWS is intelligent communication that eliminates cords and reduces noise. The Saw has a variable speed control dial (2,500 RPM – 6,300 RPM) with soft start and an electric brake for added convenience. It has a large 2-3/16 in. cutting capacity at 90° with a bevel capability of -1 to 48 and positive stops at 22.5 and 45. When used with a rail system (sold separately) a Plunge Circular Saw is a more portable option to a table saw for select applications and is ideal for use on the job site or in a workshop. Its part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion system, the worlds largest cordless tool system powered by 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.

Lucky you only had 1 left. Love it because I just purchased 2 6.0 batteries and this came in handy for recharging. As you know the project hasto go on, so when 1 battery runs out there’s always a backup. Will probably get another one sometime this year.

I already had a single charger with the Makita set I bought several years ago. It makes recharging multiple batteries at the same time more cost-effective, without having to stop work.

OK, I bought this one verses the single charger that comes with most Makita tools. It quickly charges my 4.0Ah LXT batteries in about 30 minutes or less. I have yet to run out of power or yet have to wait for a battery to be charged. All the indicator lights are very helpful. Also the cooling fans are a big plus so that the batteries stay at a good optimal temperatur. All and all I’m very pleased with this product.

With two batteries on the charger, I never have to stop due to a low battery

I have been using Makita brand for about 30 years. I am currently using the 18v and X2 32v platform for my cordless shop and yard tools. In all my years, this tool takes the cake, and eats it too! I purchased this tool to help me accurately cut up large sheet goods for a kitchen nook build. After using it one time, and seeing how accurate and clean the cuts were, I began leaning into it more and more. When it came to repetetive cuts, and dados, the table saw was still king, but almost every other cut on sheets was done with the track saw. It was particularly good when I needed cuts that weren’t perfectly square, due to funky wall/floor angles. I would scribe the off angle cut and in a snap, it was done. The only VERY minor gripe is that the depth gauge is metric, not imperial. I just need to brush up on my conversion. I was very briefly looking at Festool, but it made absolutely no sense due to my investment in the Makita 18v platform. This Makita track saw is amazing. Its a no brainer if you are invested into the Makita cordless platform. Even if you aren’t, this track saw us definitely worth a look.
