The Makita 18-Volt X2 LXT Lithium-Ion (36V) Cordless 1 in. Rotary Hammer (model XRH05PT) is powered by two 18-Volt LXT batteries, delivering the power and run time for corded demands without leaving the 18-Volt platform. With 3 Joules of Impact Energy and 4,800 BPM, the XRH05PT Rotary Hammer is engineered to meet the demands of corded 1 in. drilling and hammering concrete applications without having to drag around a cord. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. The XRH05PT Rotary Hammer delivers up to twice the drilling speed of 18-Volt rotary hammers, with up to 3 times as many holes drilled. The XRH05PT has a 1 in. drilling capacity (accepts SDS-PLUS bits) with 0-4,800 BPM, 0-1,250 RPM and a full 3.0 Joules of impact energy. The XRH05PT has features common to Makita’s broad line of rotary hammers including 3-mode operation, one-touch sliding chuck and a torque limiting clutch engineered to prevent gear damage by automatically disengaging gears if the bit binds. The XRH05PT also has LED battery indicators that show the charge level for each 18-Volt battery. It has a vibration-absorbing handle and a compact design at only 14-1/4 in. L that weighs only 11.3 lbs.

Great drill

My Impact driver is powered by older pre-LXT 18V Lithium batteries, BL1815, which work just fine for my home projects. Drives screws much better than a regular two speed drill. Drilled a few pilot holes in delicate materials using a 1/4 inch hex shank 1/8″ drill. I like this tool!

Great Impact Driver. I would recommend to a friend.

This impact driver is very powerful. I used it to build a deck and it drove 8 inch screws with no problem. I have other Makita tools and am very satisfied. The Makita oscillating tool is a beast. It is well worth the money. You can’t go wrong with Makita.

Impact drill works great no problems with screwing 3 to 5 inch screws

I originally was going to get the 99$ makita impact driver with battery and charger but I’m glad I bought this 1 instead. I love the different speeds for different applications. Works great

Love this little but powerful Makita impact driver. Been using it every day on the job for the past month. Drives in anything I ask it to with ease…ten inch lag bolts into pressure treated wood, no problem, and it could break loose stubborn nuts & bolts too. Fits into areas my other impact driver couldn’t. The 3 speed settings are great but to be honest I rarely use them because the variable speed trigger is so smooth. Battery life it great. I never had to swap out batteries on a 4AH, and I use this tool a lot… all day. It’s usually 2 or 3 days before the battery need to be recharged. Yesterday I accidentally dropped it onto some scaffolding about 12 feet down. No issues at all after the fall. Before I invested in the Makita platform I was debating between them and Milwaukee. Milwaukee makes some great tools but Makita is just as good, if not better in same cases. You won’t regret this purchase. All Makita cordless tools are super smooth and perform flawlessly.

I bought this Makita impact driver to complement my old Makita drill. The first job I used it for was driving 6″x1/2″ concrete anchors, which saved my arms compared to the ratchet I was using. It has since come in handy as a dedicated driver while my drill is freed up to drill pilot holes.
