The Makita 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Recipro Saw Kit combines cutting speed with convenience features for faster, more efficient cutting. It’s powered by the industry’s fastest-charging 18-Volt lithium-ion batteries, allowing users to remain in one battery platform and use the same fast-charging 18-Volt batteries on the XRJ04T as they use across the Makita 18-Volt LXT cordless tool line-up. The XRJ04T is equipped with efficiency features for faster cutting. The long 1-1/4 in. stroke length increases cutting efficiency and the refined crank mechanism design minimizes blade deflection and reduces vibration. Convenience features include a large two-finger variable speed trigger, electric brake and “tool-less” blade change for faster blade installation and removal. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion system, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.

Great tool, easy to use. The only problem I’d say that I have with it is that the battery life doesn’t seem to last much longer than a couple hours. Never used a battery powered sawsall before,but this tool uses a lot of power from the battery.

Very disappointed in your delivery service. The saw was placed in front of the garage out in the open! This saw has a very distinct packaging. No one rang the bell or knocked on the door Just really lucky it didn’t grow legs and walked away!

This review is probably a bit unfair because the tool works well for small jobs. Sturdy, seems well made. The problem is a battery operated saw isn’t a realistic option for bigger jobs. I had to cut through a bunch of roots for a fence installation. This burns through the battery in just a few minutes, well before the backup batteries can recharge. I ended up buying a corded saw anyway.
