The XRJ07R1B is a sub-compact solution for cutting and demolition applications in tight spaces. The Sub-Compact Recipro Saw has a compact and ergonomic design at only 12-1/2 in. and 5.7 lbs. The saw is nice and light. It’s compact enough to get it into tight spots. As you add pressure to the trigger, it seems to stair-step up the speed, rather than having a nice progression of increased speed. That’s not much of a problem. It seems great, but not in too heavy duty applications.

Fantastic addition to my Makita 18v set! Compact is nice, initially I wanted a corded, but the random options that arise make cordless the way to go. Pretty quiet, not much vibration. I opted for this over a Ryobi that costed 1/3 the price.
