Light and easy to use with a lot of power.

Good tool. Great for tight spaces and lightweight. My only con is that it should come with tool bag or case to store it.

Best recip saw I’ve ever owned.

I just picked this saw up at the home depot the other day and have only used it a couple of times so far, but i can already tell this saw is MUCH much better than the smaller eighteen volt matkia saw with the two triggers. This one has much more power and the cuttinf stroke is much longer so it cuts faster. Moreover though the ergonomics of the handle and trigger are sooo much better. On the other saw i always struggled to get a comfortable and secure grip due to the wierd angle and design of the triggers on the other saw. This one is much more comfoetable ans you really feel like you have it solidly in your hand when using it. The other thing i love is that i can still use it one handedly. The LED light is an added bonus. I am happy with this purchase and it will serve my business well

I’m not sure if $160 is worth it for this one. Makita has two other cordless 18-volts that are less but i got mine as part of the three tool combo kit and am so glad i did. I didn’t need one at the time but for $70 more, i felt I’d be very glad the day i needed it. This thing cut through wood and metal like no one’s business. It’s the only reciprocrating saw I’ve ever used so take my review lightly but i love it. It’s more compact than others so for something I’m rarely going to use, it wont take up much room in my tool box. Glad i bought it

This worked great cutting angle iron for my project. Very happy with this compact saw. It is slower cutting power than a larger saw

A terrific compact saw. Cuts almost as fast as my old style bigger Makita Sazall.
Paxton Wisozk (verified owner) –
Love the sub compact design combined with the durability of Makita and the versatility of the 18V system. This saw was easy to grab a hold of and I even was able to use with one hand on a few of the cuts.

I have had great luck with all my Home Depot biz. Dave D. in particular made the re roof job I did last week as easy as could be. I have several Makita tools and all are top of the line.
Giovani Osinski (verified owner) –
This saw has power to spare. I absolutely love it and would recommend it highly.
Torrey Gibson (verified owner) –
This saw replaced all corded sawzalls in our arsenal of tools. No one wants to use a corded saw anymore with this one in the mix. The size and power of this saw makes it great to use. It is 100% better than the other Makita 18 volt saw.

Leave it to Makita to redesign a tool that everyone else only copied! Great power and convenience in tight spaces! The ergonomics on this tool are amazing!
