This cordless compact brushless 1/2 inch square drive impact wrench is one great little tool! It is small but very powerful, it takes 1/2 inch square drive. The Fastenings capacity is standard bolt 5/16 to 5/8 in high tensile bolt 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch. Hard impact mode is 0 to 3600 rpm per minute, soft impact mode is 0 to 2000 rpm per minute. This tool is very easy to use, feels great in the hand, very comfortable and can reach into small places. Assemble furniture in the soft mode and hard mode for working on steel frames. This tool is built really well and I’m sure will last a long time. It is very light weight, weighing 2.7 pounds to 3.4 depending on which battery you use.

So far so good. Light, compact with good power and stable. Good tool to get around with on smaller jobs. Need the 1/2 to complete the set. Would like to see some cordless ratchets too.

Love the sub compact design combined with the durability of Makita and the versatility of the 18V system. This saw was easy to grab a hold of and I even was able to use with one hand on a few of the cuts.

I used this saw all day cutting electrical EMT conduit as well as threaded rod. It didn’t fail my expectations.I’m having to borrow the battery from my impact and driver set whenever needed which is the only drawback not having the battery included.

Good tool. Great for tight spaces and lightweight. My only con is that it should come with tool bag or case to store it.

I am a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing facility and we have Milwaukee tools. I bought makita for my home use so I have used both and even though it is rated less than Milwaukee don’t let that fool you. It won’t twist off 3/8 bolts but it will tighten them to the point it gaulds the threads.

I bought this bare tool a few months ago at the former $159 price and second guessed myself ever since until recently. The reason for the second guessing was because for $20 more I could have bought the larger more powerful Ridgid impact wrench with a charger and 2 large batteries. There were also other impacts from other manufacturers that I was considering but in the end owning other Makita sub-compact tools which I like plus a couple other LXT tools I decided to move on and keep it. I like Makita’s quality and reputation and I like the small size of this tool but I had to rate it’s value lower because I feel like I overpaid for what it is. Nevertheless I still like it although I’ve only tested it to see if it would remove a couple lug nuts on my Honda SUV. Other than that it’s still new but I will have it for if and when I need it.
