Antenna cover will come off first, then handle will fall apart in one year. then charger will wear out after 2.5 yrs.

The radio is extremely well protected and heavy duty. It easily accepts Makita tool batteries, which means it will play for a long time before recharging is necessary. The tuner is reasonablysensitive and rejects weak signals too. I really like the tone of the speakers–great sound fora compact box. Radios are not in the forefront of tech development right now, unlike tablets, laptops, and phones. So I am happy with my “mossback” purchase.

The radio arrived within 3 or 4 days. It was a gift so I cannot attest to its performance. However, the process to order was very easy and it arrived very quickly.
