The XRM07 is MP3 and Bluetooth compatible so it will wirelessly connect to mobile devices. For maximum versatility it can be powered by Makita slide-style and pod-style lithium-ion batteries, from 10.8-Volt to 18-Volt or with the AC adapter jack (optional). For improved operation in harsh job site conditions the XRM07 features water and dust resistant construction, with protective bumpers for added durability. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion series, the world’s largest cordless tool line-up powered by an 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style battery. Wonderful Bluetooth SPEAKER!!! Great in my shop. Works well with 18v battery, but I keep it plugged in with included AC cord, then I can use the USB port to charge my cellphone. To the knuckle-heads that give this a bad review read the description. It is NOT a RADIO!! NOT a battery CHARGER!!

I’ve been wanting a bluetooth speaker that was rugged and didn’t require a lengthy recharge. This is great. I can use my Makita LXT tool batteries; battery runs down, swap with a fully charged one. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it’s solid black (all my Makita tools are Makita blue and black), it’s not as I loud as I would like when using it outdoors (indoors it’s fine), and it would be nice if it could read mp3s from a USB device.
