The XSC03Z features a transparent chip collector box which captures debris produced while cutting and provides needed visibility in determining need for disposal. Additional features include a trigger switch with2 stage lock-off requiring2 actions to power the saw and an electric brake allowing the tool to be repositioned for maximum productivity. Makita offers 4 optimum 5-3/8 in. blade options for use with the XSC03Z: 30T carbide tipped for metal and general purpose, 50T for thin metal, 50T for aluminum and 56T for stainless steel (all sold separately). Its part of Makitas expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion system, the worlds largest cordless tool system powered by 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. This promotion also includes a bonus BL1850B 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah Battery.

Couldn’t recommend the 5.0 Ah batteries more. Although they are heavier- suck it up, it builds muscle ;). I love that I can count on the quick charge time and how long each battery lasts. Depending what tool, I can go 2-4 hours on one battery using constantly. I now have three of them and watch for deals. I couldn’t be happier.
