The 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Drywall Screwdriver (model XSF03Z, tool only, batteries and charger sold separately) breaks new ground for drywall contractors. It’s powered by a Makita brushless motor for longer run time, increased power and speed and longer tool life. With the exclusive Push Drive Technology, the 18-Volt Drywall Screwdriver can be set on lock-on mode so the motor starts only when the fastener is engaged. This gives contractors a quieter work environment and also saves on battery power. It’s built for added durability with Extreme Protection Technology (XPT), which is engineered for improved dust and water resistance for operation in harsh job site conditions. It is ideal for hanging sheetrock, metal framing, installing subfloors, backer board and decking applications. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion series, the world’s largest cordless tool line-up powered by 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style battery. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. This promotion also includes a bonus BL1850B 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah Battery.

I’ve always used a corded drywall screw gun until it broke down. I then broke down and purchased the cordless version and was surprised, after using a corded one for so long. Completely satisfied with my purchase.

I like the fact that it only runs when engaged. This makes it very quiet and extends the battery life for a long period and seems to be as fast and powerful as a corded tool.

Works great a lot quieter than my other screw guns.

Great screw gun! Pros: Quiet, Cordless is great, 2 belt clip locations, Easy depth setting adjustment, and did I say cordlessCons: Depth adjustment is easy to grab accidentally when you pick it up wrong to mess up your depth setting. Needs a lock of some sort

This drywall screw gun is awesome. Love it!

The part called the locator on the screw gun falls off with not much effort. Put a screw in and it falls off. Most screw guns you have to really pull on them to get them off to change a screw bit. This one is unusable. Cheap clip inside of cone not professional quality.
