Makita is the innovation leader in brushless motor technology and the 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 6-1/2 in. Circular Saw (model XSH03T) combines power and run-time for faster cutting and ripping – without the cord. The XSH03T is equipped with Automatic Speed Change Technology, which adjusts speed and torque during operation for optimum performance. The Makita BL Brushless Motor is engineered for longer run time, increased power and speed and longer tool life. The 18-Volt LXT 5.0Ah battery provides 65% more run time per charge than the 3.0Ah battery (BL1830), yet it charges in only 45 minutes – the fastest charge-time in the category – for less downtime and increased productivity. For added convenience, the batteries feature an on-board LED charge level indicator. The XSH03T features Extreme Protection Technology (XPT), engineered for increased dust and water resistance for operation in harsh job site conditions. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion system, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.

Used for a siding repair job – quite pleased with how well the saw worked. It’s light & well-balanced, making it easy to handle when cutting siding off a house. I was surprised how much easier the job was without an electrical cord in the way. Can’t speak to long-term reliability yet.

I’m a professional cabinet maker. I love tools and use them all the time. We use Makita in the shop/install and I have my own Makita tools at home. This is a great saw. With Brushless motor there is more low end torque and longer battery life. It’s not an equal to a corded saw but one of the greatest 18v saws out there. It accomplishes all the tasks we need it for. If you have a little extra money buy this one over the standard brushed motor saw. It will cut almost anything you ask it to do. It has a blade brake that works almost instantly after you let off trigger. I like the battery gauge so I know how much power I have to finish a small job. There is also a little LED light that lights up the area a bit when cutting. The blade it comes with is a good carbide blade. I recommend this saw.

Ready to go out of the box. Was surprised that it didn’t come with a rip guide bar. Other than that the saw works great. I upgraded from a brush motor. Then brushless is the way to go.

Trust me you won’t be disappointed if you purchase the makita brushless circular saw.

Its cuts threw wood like nothing. Its also light and the hanger is very useful so you don’t have to put it down on the grouns or some wired place.

I use my tools professionally as a carpenter and this saw doesn’t disappoint. I do pull out the corded if I’m cutting a pile of rafters or the like, however, for day to day use this is first out of the truck. I’ve got probably 100 hours of runtime all together on this saw and it runs as new. I would recommend 5ah Batts though and you can run about half a day in real working environments. On a brand new blade you can go a whole day.The power up computer feature that maintains constant power through the cut is excellent, outran my coworkers who HD dewalts which died in 30 mins where this would run 4 to 5 hours. Spend the money now instead of buying this when your disappointed with something of lesser capability and need to upgrade early

Great, powerful saw. Cut through a bunch of treated 10×2’s like butter, with the included Makita blade. Quick brake action. Set up was easy. Initial charge up did not take long, and I have not had to recharge it yet.

This was a gift for our son. He is overjoyed to have a well working tool to work with. He is replacing a deck and his old saw was hard to work with. Thank you. Please continue to carry Makita tools. He needs more replaced with quality and long lasting, dependability.

So much better than the Rigid and Dewalt 5 1/2” 20 v saws I have access to. Operation is smooth and no bogging down sawing 2×8 PT. Line guide is spot on. Like the rafter hook too.

Great purchase. It is lightweight; has plenty of power for home projects; feels safe with grip, guards and electric stop; feels and looks quality; depth and bevel adjustments are quick and easy, the track guide fittings will be useful; makes a lot of cuts on a single charge. I pondered awhile on whether to get Ryobi tools but they never had the tools I wanted in stock, and whether to get a 7-1/2″ saw but I am very satisfied after several first uses.
