Makita, a pioneer in brushless motor technology and battery innovation, combines both in the 18-Volt X2 LXT (36-Volt) Lithium-Ion Brushless Rear Handle 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw (XSR01Z, tool only, batteries and charger sold separately). It’s powered by two 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion batteries for maximum performance, and has an electronically-controlled BL Brushless motor that matches torque and RPM to the application. Makita 18-Volt X2 means freedom from the cord, even for demanding applications like cutting sheet and dimensional lumber that traditionally called for a corded saw. Best of all, users can remain in 1 battery platform, using the same fast-charging 18-Volt batteries with the XSR01Z as they use across the expansive Makita 18-Volt LXT cordless tool series. The XSR01Z has a long list of features for efficient cutting without the cord. Users of leading corded saws will appreciate the blade-left rear-handle design. The electronically-controlled brushless motor delivers a full 5,100 RPM for efficient cutting. In internal testing, the XSR01Z made up to 558 cross-cuts per charge in 2×4 SPF lumber using 2 fully-charged 5.0 Ah batteries. Its part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion system, the worlds largest cordless tool system powered by 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.
- XSR01Z – powered by 2 LXT batteries, X2 LXT technology delivers more power, speed and run time without the hassles of a cord
- XSR01Z – Makita built electronically controlled BL motor delivers 5,100 RPM for maximum performance and 50% longer run time per charge
- XSR01Z – the BL brushless motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the BL motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer-life
- XSR01Z – automatic speed change technology adjusts cutting speed and torque during cut for optimum performance
- XSR01Z – X2 LXT technology delivers up to 558 cross-cuts per charge in 2×4 SPF lumber and up to 291 cross-cuts per charge in 2×10 SPF lumber using two 5.0 Ah batteries (batteries not included)
- XSR01Z – large 2-9/16 in. cutting capacity at 90° cuts 3X material in a single pass
- XRJ06Z – two 18-Volt LXT lithium-ion batteries deliver the power and performance of a corded reciprocal saw without leaving the 18-Volt LXT platform (batteries not included)
- XRJ06Z – X2 LXT technology delivers up to 155 cuts per charge in 2×10 SPF lumber using two 5.0 Ah batteries (batteries not included)
- XRJ06Z – Makita-built variable 2-speed brushless motor delivers 0 low to 2,300 low and 0 high to 3,000 high strokes per minute
- XRJ06Z – 1-1/4 in. L stroke length provides increased cutting efficiency
- XRJ06Z – refined crank mechanism design minimizes blade deflection and reduces vibration
- XRJ06Z – the BL brushless motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the BL motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer
- BL1850B2DC2 – 18-Volt LXT lithium-ion 5.0 Ah battery reaches a full charge in 45-minutes or less
- BL1850B2DC2 – provides up to 65% more run time per charge compared to BL1830
- BL1850B2DC2 – integrated LED battery charge level indicator allows user to monitor battery charge
- BL1850B2DC2 – battery delivers consistent power and run time in extreme-temperatures, even in winter ( minus 4°F/minus 20°C)
- BL1850B2DC2 – equipped with star protection computer controls to protect against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating
- BL1850B2DC2 – impact-resistant outer case and shock-absorbing inner-liner are engineered to protect the battery

Every Makita tool is ergonomically designed and built with quality. I’m smaller than most U.S.Americans. But, I can get BIG jobs done, by using good tools. Makita is my favorite tool maker.

I like a lot

this is a well-balanced tool and superior to the single battery model which I already owned. Would love to see a metal shoe instead of plastic the depth and angle adjustment are easily accessed. I do like the rafter hook.

Wow, just wow. To compare, I do have a corded Makita work drive saw. This thing is a beast. I’m using 10 year old 3AH Makita batteries from a combo kit, which to me is pretty impressive. This saw went through 2×12 boards very nicely. Nice and quiet too. Highly recommend.

I haven’t tested it yet. IT came with no batteries. I Will have to wait until heating them. By itself, it is a good quality product.

nice product, powerful and last longer, I like it.

Perfect saw for remodeling homes. Get the 5 amp/hr. Batteries for it. The 3 amp/hr. Batteries aren’t enough to work all day.

Great saw. The makita line is starting to grow on me I’m looking forward to the new stuff they are coming out with.
