The Makita 18-Volt LXT lithium-ion cordless six-piece combo kit is built to get the job done. Designed with the professional in mind, this best-in-class cordless solution contains six lithium-ion cordless tools for drilling, driving, fastening, cutting, grinding, demolition and more. The set includes a 1/2 in. hammer driver-drill with 480 in. lbs. of MAX torque, an impact driver with 1,460 in. lbs. of MAX torque, a 6-1/2 in. circular saw that will cut 2X material at 45 degrees, a reciprocating saw with 0-2,800 SPM, a 4-1/2 in. brushless angle grinder with 8,500 RPM and a rechargeable flashlight with a Xenon bulb that lasts up to four hours per charge. The tools are equipped with Makita 18-Volt lithium-ion batteries to work longer for you. Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls to improve tool performance and battery life. This technology enables a Star Protection-equipped tools and batteries to exchange real-time data and monitor conditions during use, protecting against overloading, over-discharging and overheating.

I am in the construction field and have used Dewalt for a long time. I was close to purchasing the 20 volt set. But the slim product line other than the basic tools was the difference maker. I spent a great deal of time asking carpenter friends and reading reviews. I chose these because of the reliability. I received them last week and you can feel the difference in quality compared to other power tools. When using the drill. You can feel the gradual but powerful increase.I bought this set for $525 and now its over $600. I may have not bought it for that much. Otherwise I would wait for a sale.

We use several different makita cordless tools at work and have never had a problem, They are a great product, I was very excited to get my new 6pc cordless combo. With that said I am very disappointed that my hammer drill is only two weeks old, and has only drilled about 80 9/32diameter holes in some treated decking and now the gearbox or bearing is out of it and now I either have to pay to ship it out and be without it for a while, or drive an hour to the nearest service shop to get it repaired. I dont want to return the product because I beleive makita makes a quality product, I’m just very disapointed with the circumstances. I feel Like makita should just swap me out a new drill, however the guy at the shop said that makita wouldnt support that. It just doesnt give me a good feeling about the money I spent and the reliability of the tool when its hardly been used and now has to be repaired. The zipper on my tool bag was also messed up, it wouldnt zip the zipper together, I think I got working after messing around with it, Hopefully this this set will last, Time will tell, I will definitely post an update in the future!

Batteries easy to and relatively quick to charge. Slide in and out of tools easily. Have used the drill and grinder and like all Makita tools work great. Being a battery tool, I was a little concerned that the grinder wouldn’t have the power needed, but for the small job I did it seems to be powerful enough to do the job. Since I just received these a week ago I have not used the recip or circ saw, but because they are Makitas I will assume they are going to perform very well also. I have never had a drill with a light before, nice feature! I am a hobbyist, not a professional, but over all I recommend this set and all Makita tools.

Received my 6 pcs last week and must say that the bag just out of the box had a damaged zipper. How did this leave the warehouse without noticing. Didn’t even had to open the bag and it was noticeable. Did a test run on all the tools and they were great. Haven’t used them on any serious projects yet but will in a few days.
