Shoots just fine. The trick is NOT to use 1 1/4” brads!

I’m a union finish Carpenter and I’ve been in the union for 26 years and just bought 2 of the Cordless makita 23g pin guns for A job in a high end hotel in Boston they wanted to add a piece of wood in behind some vanity draw pulls for support it was a oak to oak application In every room so it was about 250 rooms 2 draws per room this gun worked perfectly never jammed never miss fired this gun worked like a charm and it beat dragging my compressor and hose to every floor and room Don’t listen to any of the bad reviews there is a lot of guys out there who think there a finish carpenter But in reality there a sub par handyman I only use Makita Now and have tried every tool on the planet they last and are reliable! Thanks Jason

Third shot jammed. Not a good start. I installed about 140 feet of quarter round with this new gun, and had to clear probably a dozen jams along the way. That and finding little bits of pin nail in the head. I dont mind clearing jams but the head is held on by 3 allen screws. So doing that 12 times get annoying. I had such high hopes for this 2nd gen pin nailer, but there is some serious reliability issues that need to be addressed. Back to the pneumatic Hitachi.

Excellent performance. Very easy to use. We remodeled a kitchen and two bathrooms with this…fantastic performance and simple to switch batteries between this and my other 18v Makita tools!

Makita 18v 23 gauge nailer works perfect everytime ..A drop of WD-40 on fresh Porter-Cable 23 gauge pins.. This Makita sinks nails flush.Have not had one jam 1000’s of pins later still works perfectly well worth investment

Fits into corners or inside cabinets where it is difficult to get a pneumatic nailer. I am using it to drive short pin nails into oak cabinetry and it works fine. With long pin nails, it attaches oak trim and oak baseboard to walls with ease. If you are set up for Makita cordless tools, it is definitely worth the money.

First battery powered nail gun… not all that impressed. Jams routinely…this is second item as first was repaired.

This is the 2nd generation pin nailer. The 1st gen had some issues with power. This one is a lot better. Some people are saying it won’t drive the pin in all the way in hard woods. I had a few issues until I used another brand of pins and my problem was gone. Make sure to buy good quality pins to use. There is a depth adjustment so you can set the pins deeper if needed.

A recent purchaser of this tool. It has worked out very well for me. I’ve used it on 3/4″ maple and maple mouldings. Only a few shots were left proud most likely to not keeping the gun tight to the work surface. I have used several different size nails. No jambs or problems to deal with. I would recommend this product for finer finish work.

I just purchased this gun to replace a pneumonia nailer and couldn’t be happier. Spent the day building cabinets and the gun worked perfectly. Easy to handle. Drove pins as desired. After shooting closes to 200 brads into plywood and hardwood faces the battery was still fully charged. Extremely pleased.

Awesome tool. As soon as 2nd generation models of the Brad nailer and crown stapler becomes available I will purchase immediately based on my experience with this pin nailer. I’ve had no problems with oak or hickory using this gun. Very pleased.
