I like everything about this router except the placement of the on and off switch…I wish it was more ergonomic to operate with one hand.

Great router…cordless is so nice!

Good all around tool. Long lasting batteries.

Excellent tool, the only problem is: understanding it’s only the tool , but at least you should including the dust bag. Other then that the tool itself excellent.

I have the corded version of this. Used it for years. But my goal is to replace all my corded tools with cordless. Mikita did a nice job converting this to cordless

Got this to replace my corded trimmer that burned up. I was shocked at the quality of the build. Very solid but not heavy. Even with the battery on top it is still well balanced. Bit change is easy. Depth adjustment is smooth and stays. Easily the best small router I have ever used. Only weird thing is the on off button placement is not where my fingers would naturally go, but getting used to it.

This is my favorite cordless router in its class. This has nice power and paired with Makita’s 5 amp/hr batteries, it lasts a long time. This router is compact, and nicely featured. Do not buy this thinking you are getting the same power as a full-size corded model. Its a great little router, but be realistic in your expectations. It works well for me with aluminum lowers.

Powerful and easy to manuever. It took a while to figure out a good way to tighten the collet. Overall it does it’s job well and is significantly cheaper than the Dewalt.

Has the features of a full-size router including a light and comes with a fence.
Jayda Thompson (verified owner) –
Smooth, light and compact. A bit slow to stop spinning once turned off but not slow enough to be a problem. Used it even to trim pressure treated boards without any issues.
Louvenia Lemke (verified owner) –
The saw itself works great after it is started. The soft start feature is absolutely terrible.Starts slow until under load then it takes off out of control.

Love the built-in light

More power than I expected , not too hard on batteries

Definitely like the compact size and ease of use. I also like the way it lights up the work surface and the fact that it uses the same batteries as my other Makita tools.I would definitely have given it 5 stars except that the first time I used it I realized it did not have enough power to push the bit I had installed in it without tripping and needing to be reset. Ultimately I found that it works good with smaller bits but care needs to be taken to make sure the depth of the cut is done incrementally.
