The Makita 18-Volt X2 (36-Volt) LXT Brushless Shear Wrench (XTW01PT) is a cordless fastening solution engineered for up to 14% faster tightening than corded, and delivers up to 315 tightened M22 torque control bolts per charge (compared to Makita model 6922NB and using two 5.0 Ah batteries). It’s powered by two 18-Volt LXT batteries and an efficient brushless motor for maximum power, speed and run-time without the cord. The XTW01PT has an efficient brushless motor that delivers 593 ft./lbs. of torque for the most demanding applications. The electric brake stops the rotation of the socket, allowing the tool to be repositioned faster for maximum productivity. Added features include the bolt tip ejecting lever located by the power switch for easy tip disposal. for added durability it features Makita Extreme Protection Technology (XPT). XPT is a protective seal inside the tool, and is engineered for improved operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion system, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. for improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls.

Great product that holds a charge for a long time. Provides power when needed for big projects without having to worry about stopping for a charge or swap out batteries. I like the battery charge remaining lights so I know how much work I still can get from it.

This batter was bought to replace the original battery that quit after two charge phase. So far this one has taken one charge and is working OK. But the original battery went to Makita for replacement and I haven’t received the replacement yet. I would rate higher but so far I am seeing a 25% failure and that is not accecptable.

It has so much power and last so long, of course it is new. But my son has Makita and they have worked good for him for a long time, that’s why I switched to Makita.

After the $150 sticker shock for this battery subsided, I have been completely satisfied with its longevity while using it to drive deck screws. Lasted a solid 6 hours with continuous use and the charger had it ready to go again in roughly 30 minutes.Highly recommend!

Couldn’t recommend the 5.0 Ah batteries more. Although they are heavier- suck it up, it builds muscle ;). I love that I can count on the quick charge time and how long each battery lasts. Depending what tool, I can go 2-4 hours on one battery using constantly. I now have three of them and watch for deals. I couldn’t be happier.

I have used all kinds of batteries for multiple brands and systems but none of them compare to the 5a. The star protection keeps you going through the whole job. One 5a battery all day or multiple 3a batteries throughout your day? You decide but I’ll take only one battery for the job any day.
