I ordered this online and picked up in store. When I ordered it I didn’t realize that it had no trigger button to operate like other jigsaws only the on-off button at the front. This is awkward to use especially if you have gloves on. Really wanted this unit to replace my older brushed model but the awkward operation of the unit was too much and I returned it for a refund. I did end up ordering the brushless model which the regular style jigsaw. The barrel grip jigsaw appears to be a well made unit but the operation of it is just too awkward for me……

This is a very handy and efficient jig saw. The grip is very comfortable and the tool is well balanced with the battery installed. Blades are super easy to install and remove. Battery life is great.

I like everything about this saw except the on/off switch and lock switch….very time consuming, hard to push and in an inconvenient location…it sucks…..

I used D-Handle jig saws all my life. I was looking for a compact cordless jig saw that would fit in a pack-out system. Due to the price, I almost went with a traditional Makita D-Handle. I think with the proper blade and repetition a guy could probably toss his scroll and coping saws and use this for all of those cuts. There are three things I don’t like about it: 1- price $100 more than a D-Handle. 2- the on/off switch is a little too far forward for my thumb to reach. It forces you to use your other hand or lay the saw on its side to turn it off. If your backing or pulling out of a cut the operator can bend a blade rather easily because he cant reach the on/off switch. 3- it needs a little air to blow the dust away from the cut. The LED is a nice feature and changing blades is awesome. Despite the things I don’t care for, I would still buy it again.
