This batter was bought to replace the original battery that quit after two charge phase. So far this one has taken one charge and is working OK. But the original battery went to Makita for replacement and I haven’t received the replacement yet. I would rate higher but so far I am seeing a 25% failure and that is not accecptable.

I ordered this online and picked up in store. When I ordered it I didn’t realize that it had no trigger button to operate like other jigsaws only the on-off button at the front. This is awkward to use especially if you have gloves on. Really wanted this unit to replace my older brushed model but the awkward operation of the unit was too much and I returned it for a refund. I did end up ordering the brushless model which the regular style jigsaw. The barrel grip jigsaw appears to be a well made unit but the operation of it is just too awkward for me……

I read that this tool had a function to disable the soft start which it ships with. I’ve tried 20 different times following the proper button push and dial rotation order outlined to turn it off but it doesn’t work. Other than that, great tool!
