The Makita 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2 in. Impact Wrench (model XWT04) delivers high torque impact power with a 1/2 in. square drive that will fit impact-rated socket sets. The versatile XWT04 packs plenty of torque for a wide range of fastening and loosening tasks and is a powerful and convenient substitute for air powered and AC wrenches. The XWT04 features a Makita-built high torque motor that delivers 325 ft. lbs. of Max Torque, 1,600 RPM’s and 2,100 impacts per minute for a wide range of fastening tasks, including removing transmission bolts and lug nuts. Makita’s proprietary hammer and anvil impact mechanism are manufactured using the best raw materials with the highest quality steel and unique heat hardening process for maximum fastening and driving power. The unique rubber joint shock absorbent handle helps protect the battery housing from vibration. The XWT04 weighs just 7.5 lbs. and is 10-1/2 in. long with an ergonomic shape that fits like a glove for reduced operator fatigue. The XWT04 is equipped with a large rocker switch for easier tool use – even with gloves – and a 1/2 in. square drive with detent pin is designed for quick release. A built-in LED light illuminates the work area for more efficient work.

This impact gun has very good power and zips lug nuts on/off with ease. I have a bag full of Makita 18volt tools and I use them hard. They keep coming back for more and knock on wood have never failed me. I debated on this impact vs. the Milwaukee but because I already had Makita batteries I chose this one. So far I am happy with my purchase.

very powerful and durable impact, when i read reviews i never expected it to be this awesome! it has enough torque to easily turn rusted nuts and can tighten lug nuts with ease. i do recommend using torque limiting extensions though, as this impact has enough power to over-tighten.

This impact is extremely powerful! It easily removes the lug nuts on my camper and boat trailer! It is a bit bulky and heavy, but this minor inconvenience is well worth the fact that you can use an impact gun without having to lug an air compressor with you everywhere…not to mention the fact that you can use it where there is no power available.

Having a triple axle fifth-wheel trailer means you have what seems like an endless number of lug nuts to deal with.I first attempted to get by with the Makita 1/4 in. cordless impact wrench. While the 1/4 in. had lots of power, I twisted off three (3) adapters for my 1/2 in. sockets.When I saw this 1/2 in. drive impact wrench on sale a few weeks ago, I couldn’t find my credit card fast enough. This is one of the best tool purchases that I have made over the past year. Lots of power, and the battery life just keeps going. I have two batteries with the drill / 1/4 in.impact combo that I bought before, plus a super-quick recharger.Looking forward to the need (and purchase) of other Makita 18V LXT tools.
