The Makita 18-Volt LXT Lithium-ion Brushless Cordless High Torque 1/2 in. sq. Drive Impact Wrench (XWT08Z, tool-only) combines 740 ft. lbs. fastening torque and 1,180 ft. lbs. break-away torque with extended run time and speed control for unmatched fastening performance. It features an efficient Makita brushless motor for longer run time, increased power and speed and longer tool life. The electronic 3-speed power selection switch gives users more precise fastening control. It is ideal for a range of users, from iron and steel workers to pipe fitters, railroad and automotive mechanics, forming carpenters and more. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt Lithium-ion series, the world’s largest cordless tool line-up powered by an 18-Volt Lithium-ion slide-style battery. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18-Volt LXT and Compact Lithium-ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.

This thing is awesome, I have used it a few times now. Needed to bust loose a few motor mount bolts that have been in place for 18yrs and the makita had no problem, even with a 3′ extension attached!

Only got to take a couple wheels off with it before I got furloughed but allowed me to utilize existing Makita lxt charger and batteries I had. No more dragging air hoses, and can do whatever the snap on’s pnuematic and cordless guns do so far.

The drill was ready to use and works better than any other I’ve had before.

The 1/2 in high torque impact wrench is the best that I have ever used. It was easy to use, and medium weight for the amount of torque it delivers. I am amazed at the power.

This is my 2nd one, I would have rated it higher, except it only lasted about a year. I do use it hard , (everyday auto repair shop) It is a little lite on power compared to others on the market however the cost is also about 1/2 of others. The main selling feature is Makita battery system, You make your choice on the brand of tool your going to use and for better or worse you end up married to it. I cant think of any Makita 18 V tools I don’t own

Very good tool, I’ve only hit one three-quarter inch bolt that it did not want to back out first try.

Great tool, plenty of torque and cordless convenient. Just make sure you have one of the larger batteries to power it.

I mostly bought this tool to break lug nuts loose that have over tightened by tire stores. I recently had my tires rotated, then attempted to remove the wheels to do a break job. Even with a breaker bar, they would not budge. This tool had no problem getting them off. I cannot comment on battery life yet because I haven’t used the tool enough. I will say that I like this tool so much that I bought the 3/8″ impact wrench yesterday for use on routine engine work.

Very powerful gun

I’m a firm believer of makita products and this one will not disappoint. Plenty of power and its adjustable. I typically use it for taking lug nuts off on my vehicles and for driving heavy lags through deck lumber
