The Makita 18-Volt LXT Brushless 3-Speed Impact Wrench (XWT11Z) combines extended run time and speed control for unmatched fastening performance. The XWT11Z is powered by a Makita brushless motor for longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. 3 speeds with reverse rotation auto-stop mode stops rotation in 2-seconds when fastener is adequately loosened, making the XWT11Z ideal for automotive, installation, and fabrication trades. Its part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt LXT system, the worlds largest cordless tool system powered by 18-Volt lithium-ion batteries. Makita 18-Volt LXT Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. 18-Volt LXT batteries are included in this kit. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. I’ve been very happy with it. The portability and small size are great. Battery life has been very good for my usage. I mainly am using it for auto lug nuts. No problems on lugs tightened to 140 ft/lbs. it will not remove lugs with wheel locks though. I’ve needed to remove those by hand.

The drill was a great size and would do most jobs wonderfully.I did however, buy it hoping to swap my wheels out faster for seasonal changes and autox racing.I was able to break loose 2 lugs but the 3rd one wasn’t coming free. Having the smaller impact already, I returned this for the larger impact.

Good unit for small hands.Crowded on handle for my hands. Vibration is more obvious than my other impacts. Very high quality fit and finish. Removed lug nuts at 80’ pounds on high speed easily.Could use rubber bumpers around bottom of battery. Casing seems solid but…..

Makita makes excellent power tools. This impact wrench is ideal for mid-range applications, such as working on cars and light duty trucks. Excellent for brake and suspension work, as well as lug nut removal and installation. This is the minimum I would recommend for automotive work. A standard 1/4” driver works too, just not nearly as well. I would recommend this to anyone looking to make automotive work a breeze.

Powerful tool for its size. So far, I’ve only used mine for working on cars. No problems taking wheel lugnuts off. It’s very ergonomic and I don’t know of a better balanced impact wrench than this. One other plus I noticed is it’s nowhere as loud as others I’ve used. Awesome price too!

Excellent impact. I have a regular impact I use for screwing and nuts and bolts but it’s not as strong. This one is dedicated to that and it helps me complete my projects faster. I have used Makita for over 12 years and they have never let me down. They fit my hands better than many other brands and the batteries have never given me an issue. In pretty good at rotating between my 3 batteries, though. continue to use them
