The Makita 18-Volt LXT Brushless 3-Speed Impact Wrench (XWT11Z) combines extended run time and speed control for unmatched fastening performance. The XWT11Z is powered by a Makita brushless motor for longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. 3 speeds with reverse rotation auto-stop mode stops rotation in 2-seconds when fastener is adequately loosened, making the XWT11Z ideal for automotive, installation, and fabrication trades. Its part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt LXT system, the worlds largest cordless tool system powered by 18-Volt lithium-ion batteries. Makita 18-Volt LXT Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. 18-Volt LXT batteries are included in this kit. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18-Volt LXT and Compact Lithium-Ion Batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.

Powerful tool for its size. So far, I’ve only used mine for working on cars. No problems taking wheel lugnuts off. It’s very ergonomic and I don’t know of a better balanced impact wrench than this. One other plus I noticed is it’s nowhere as loud as others I’ve used. Awesome price too!

Like all Mikita power tools, this is top of the line. This kit comes with all you need, including the 18 volt lithium-ion battery. Also included is the charger for the battery and a convenient carry-storage pouch. The impact drive has an LED light that brightens up your work area. One of the biggest pluses to this kit is that it uses the same battery as my cordless saw, so I now have three batteries ready to tackle any job. The impact driver has three speeds which will come in handy for those small as well as tough jobs. Very powerful, I like it better than my current Ryobi 18 volt impact driver. Great quality, well built and I would expect this to last for many years.

This is my first cordless impact wrench. I have used the corded and pneumatic ones before this. Right away this weighs a lot less than both of those styles and the size is more compact. However, the small size is not a reflection of its performance at all. It is quite powerful. It had no problem removing the lug nuts on my car. If you haven’t used one of these before I would recommend only using it with appropriate impact sockets. If you don’t already have some, they aren’t too expensive. I am happy with this product.

Needed something to take off my lug nuts and I tried it with all of my impact drivers and could not do it. I tried the Milwaukee brushless 18v, Ryobi p238 with 3ah+hp battery, and my dewalt dcd885.. all failed. Got this with little hope since everyone talks about it being so weak but I’ll tell ya what.. this little guy is compact and powerful for its size. It took the lug nuts off that the others couldn’t in a split second. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a compact impact wrench!!! If you want something heavier and bulkier then you can always get better.
