It’s a chisel…. nothing magical, or mechanical. It does exactly what it is intended to do …. score a brick or block, not frost a cake.

I brought this item out of sheer necessity. For the money I couldn’t ask for anything more.

This is not for the brick or stone pro who cuts blocks daily. But, for the DIY person who needs to cut a few pieces every now and then it and a two pound hammer (a sixteen ounce hammer will do but not as cleanly.) It does a very good job with a little practice. Now, let’s discuss safety. Don’t be stupid people. You will be striking metal against metal and metal against rock or stone. Shards are likely to fly off at unknown angles. Wear good gloves and very good eye protection. Cutting limestone I hit a piece of embedded flint . I had to pull a shard of flint out of my fore arm. This is not to scare you but to warn you this is serious stuff. Also, keep others especially children well away from cutting area. This is not rocket science but keep a few extra pieces on hand as cuts don’t always go as planned. Use good sense and planning and you should make a great project.

I had one before and needed another one to chisel up some tiles on a small balcony. It worked very well on the project I was working on. It did an excellent job.

The octagon shaped handle is difficult to hold a grip on when tapped to move forward. If the handle was round it would be better for me.

Did the job! Wish it had a harder edge.

It’s not great for pulling up tile but it gets through scoured bricks like it should with one hit from the appropriate weighted hammer.

Just what I needed to remove the old cement and reasonably priced
